[edit]The Flood is a separate event from the Hurricane Katrina, or Hurricane Rita. The historical impact of this flood on the City of New Orleans is to be sure related to the hurricanes. It is nonetheless a separate event. ManyFireflies 18:24, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- It may be, but it is an effect of the former, and so is discussed in Effect of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans. Andy Mabbett 20:05, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- I have to agree that this article should be a redirect to Effect of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans - senseless duplication. Simesa 21:35, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
- While Effect of Hurricane Katrina on New Orleans is a cumbersome title, 2005 New Orleans flood does not incorporate the significant wind and civil disorder effects. I think it is unnatural to separate these components since they are so closely intertwined. I have put a merge flag on 2005 New Orleans flood Walter Siegmund 17:19, 24 September 2005 (UTC)
