Hi, I added this page because in a way it is linked to the criticism against rating agencies, that has been an important component of the credit crunch. The company has indeed been created from Fitch Ratings as a response for a need of clarity and avoidance of possible conflict of interest between ratings and advisory services. However, if the community still thinks the page must be deleted we may possibly reduce this to a Section in the Fitch Ratings page. Incidentally, this page also helps clarifying the structure of the Fitch Group, that is often identified with the mere rating agency. Piloter (talk) 13:38, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

I'd tend to insist that it's the first Rating Agency spin-off due to the rating agencies criticism and credit crunch that makes the company creation interesting. Also, notice there is a page for Algorithmics Inc.... wait I see now that has been tagged as advertisement-based :) Anyway both companies have active research departments that publish some advanced and academic research. Also, Fitch Solutions hosts the Fitch Academic Advisory Board. Anyway if you think it's better we may re-shape a little the Fitch Ratings page calling it Fitch Group and list both Algorithics and Fitch Solutions there in two paragraphs, besides the core rating agency part?Piloter (talk) 14:51, 3 December 2008 (UTC)
