Proposed merge
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- Consensus appears to be to merge. Kafziel Complaint Department: Please take a number 21:34, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
I propose merging MyWay Searchbar into this article. It doesn't seem to be notable enough for a separate article (fails WP:WEB) and, since it's an obsolete product, it's unlikely to have any new developments. It seems to already be covered here in the Mindspark article, anyway, in the MyWebSearch toolbar section. Any objections? Kafziel Complaint Department: Please take a number 20:57, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

I agree with merging the articles. 158.59.138.2 (talk) 18:42, 22 May 2012 (UTC)
Advert
[edit]This page is a blatant advert for Mindspark. It looks like 100% of it was written by them. I propose nuking and starting from scratch, or just page deletion if they're not notable enough. 81.100.239.101 (talk) 15:57, 24 December 2013 (UTC)
- Agreed. Once the tool bar is downloaded onto a PC, it is next to impossible to remove. What reputable company does this? The answer is NONE. This company is no better than a mining virus. Otherwise they would not hide their programming so deeply in the system. What a pathetic business model that they have to catch unsuspecting Internet users of marginal ability and enslave their computers. I have spent hours trying to get their junk off my sister's computer. It is not possible.i will tear the system down as there is no other way. 75.111.40.157 (talk) 00:06, 26 December 2013 (UTC).
This is from an Internet subscriber. I downloaded Elite Unzip from the Mind Spark Interactive Network because it said I had to in order to open a file. A virus with the name "Mind Spark" presented itself on my computer after downloading Elite Unzip, marketed by this Mind Spark Interactive Network. Computer professionals had a very difficult time removing this virus.
When it was removed, a popup box stated: "Mindspark Interactive Network. This virus was removed: PUB Mind Spark. Beware and Do Not Download Elite Upzip from the Internet to unzip a document file. Aside NOte: I also saw on You-Tube, evil people are demonstrating how to infect computers with the "Mind Spark" virus.
Mindspark should be listed as a malware company
[edit]I spent a whole day trying to get rid of their 'free products' from a computer

Malware
[edit]This page mentions the infamous Slimcleaner malware. Why mention this malware?[1]68.100.116.118 (talk) 01:29, 12 September 2015 (UTC)

MyWay
[edit]Why is MyWay search bar described in the past tense? It is active on the computer I am using right now. 64.53.191.77 (talk) 04:26, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- We could probably find a computer running Windows 3.1.1 too. Past tense is OK if the software has reached end-of-support, for example. —DIV (1.129.106.12 (talk) 10:36, 27 April 2019 (UTC))
myway (lowercase)
[edit]There should be an easy re-direct to this page when one enters 'myway' (joined and in lower case). Users shouldn't have to go through a long list of 'My Way' re-directs to articles about things which have different casing and different separation.37.99.52.124 (talk) 07:31, 3 December 2016 (UTC)
