(Potential) To Do List:
[edit]Descriptive paragraph under secondary needs (like what's under primary), if applicable
5 categories simple discriptions (under categorization of needs)
include hyperlinks to relevant topics (mostly completed)
general proofreading
define need without using a quote
Overall flow and organization
Fix citation organization
Application section: special emphasis on Needs for power, achievement, and affiliation. (under further research)

Merger proposal
[edit]Two pages exist, both based on the same book, including with similar content. Only 3-4 incoming links on either. --Cedderstk 13:14, 6 October 2009 (UTC)
- I think merging is an excellent idea! And I think this article is better than Murray's psychogenic needs. Lova Falk talk 17:08, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
Number of needs
[edit]The article says that are 17, but I could over 20 in one table and 19 in another table. Please clarify.
Suggestions
[edit]Potential expansions of the explanation section/subsections to be added: What are the 'determinants' referenced at the end of the first paragraph?
More information about the breakdown/hierarchy of the needs; categories, domains, primary vs secondary, ect. For example, more information could be provided about the distinctions between/meanings of the Ambition, Materialism, Power, Affection, and Information categories.
Some background on how these things were determined might be helpful; what was Murray's research process/rational?
The applications sections says "Murray's system of needs has influenced the creation of personality testing.", but then doesn't say how.
The criticism section is extremely short/limited in scope.
There are also relatively few sources, and some spots where it seems like things should be cited and aren't.
Overall, this article needs more detail in a variety of areas.
