Thanks a lot for your photo of postbox which you had added to Bangladesh Post Office. I really appreciate your contribution. If possible, please also upload it at Wikimedia commons. Best wishes. Rahman.safwan (talk) 21:21, 15 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I will also transfer the file to Wikipedia commons tomorrow :) Thank you বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (talk) 17:42, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Dear brother Bijoy, Its my painful duty to inform you that, I need to undid your last edit of mentioned article. I am very sorry for it. I am explaining below why I undid your edits.

1. You have removed tag of exemplary. There must be a wikipedia article with this word meaning. As most of the people don't know this word meaning.
2. You have also removed the tag of Nayeb Delwar Hossain. Please be informed that, according to the Article Guideline of Wikipedia, there can be a article with the name of the Head of a postal authority.
3. You have changed the type of the agency. Please be informed that, there is much difference between the postal service and courrier
4. You have added native name and added Bangla language tag. But its not necessary to add the tag
5. I must thank you for adding this good information. But there is no references so it can't be verified. Please be informed a point that there is no post office at shahjalal international airport which serves general people. ::After all, I would like to say, thanks a lot for your great attemt. We should work togather to grow the article about Bangladesh. If you need to ask any question regarding it, please feel free to reply me in this thread.
Regards. Rahman.safwan (talk) 17:45, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Safwan, Here are my reasons to do so....
1. exemplary was a dead link!
2. Nayeb Delwar Hossain was a dead link!
3. The word Courier literally means a Postal service! Please check! (Courier)
4. The tag was necessary to fix the font errors! as all articles have it!
5. The Information was from the official website!
I did a bit of hard work and i was expected to be appreciated, but you reverted and disappointed me, I will re revert and add ref tags as you said, rest all is to be fine!, Regards!

Hello bijoy, Thanks a lot for your hard work in this article. i really appreciate your edits, I have undid your edits because of lack of references. I have seen the references and say that you have done copy from the website. please rewrite the part or I must undo your edit again.
i am saying you the reply of the reasons
1. though its a dead link, you cant mark it remove. it also applicable for number 2
3.No the word courier may means same. but for Bangladesh post office, the appropriate is postal authority. as it not only provide courier service, also provide other service
4. no. the tag not necessary. please see other articles of postal authority.
5. though the information is from official page, i have some knowledge about the postal situation of bangladesh. Please be again informed that, there is currently no post office serving there.
i hope the answers helpful. if u again undid the edit of me, sadly, i need to report against you.
regards. Rahman.safwan (talk) 10:45, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Dead link will be solved, all resources and article will be enhanced. Thank you. বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 10:55, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to have to revert your well-intentioned edit to Sierra Leone. The President did indeed make an announcement in 2002 in honour of the troops serving in his country. I'm sure he intended this as a genuine honour, but no action was taken to adopt Bengali as an official language, and it is not currently recognised by Sierra Leone. Some time ago, I added the report of the announcement to the text lower down (not to the info box), but this has since been removed. I've commented on the talk page. Dbfirs 16:37, 29 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Now, After I went through a deep study, I have studied that that newspaper report is not a report that actually states Bengali as official language in Sierra Leone. I want it to be removed, cause there is not proper evidence or cite. Thank you. বিজয় চক্রবর্তী 13:10, 30 June 2013 (BST)/12:40, 30 June 2013 (IST)
That's fine. We'll leave the article as it is. Dbfirs 21:38, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Assam tea, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at the welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Please do not indiscriminately add different languages to articles, when you clearly do not know the meanings! Shovon (talk) 16:07, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! The tag on Assam Tea " (Assamese: অসমীয়া চাহ) " is correct, do not revert without language knowledge, A type of Tea named on the region can have the region's language on the article!
The problem is your grasp (or rather, the lack of it) of languages. Refer to the talk page of the article and PLEASE refrain from such types of nonconstructive edits. Thanks. Shovon (talk) 16:40, 1 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's only that, I think "অসমীয়া চাহ" is not a wide spread term for Assam Tea, But It could be added because অসমীয়া চাহ means Assamese Tea literally, I have no problem in Assamese language. Regard, Thank you. বিজয় চক্রবর্তী 16:15, 3 July 2013 (BST)/15:45, 3 July 2013 (IST)

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hello Bijoy, I am watching your talkpage and your edits for some days. After watching your edits I realize, you should be concerned regarding some issue. 1. In wikipedia,by giving source if you add any information, no one can delete it. 2. But in wikipedia,if you would like to delete anything, at first, you should take the fact to the article's talk page. After discuss there, you can delete the information. 3. If you see any information which don't have any source or the source is wrong, you can tag it citizen needed. 4. I saw your edit at wikipedia article Bangla. There you have deleted a information about Sierra-Leone. But you didn't discuss it in talk page or either. I can give you many reference regarding this information. After all,i would like to say, contribute to wikipedia. Its your pedia. Try to add information more than delete. If you delete any type of information without discussion, you will be reported by wikipedians. So try to be careful in delete next time. Regards Rahman.safwan (talk) 21:53, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Number plates in Bangladesh.jpeg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Number plates in Bangladesh.jpeg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. Hi Bijoy, appreciate your thanks for this edit of mine and I've also seen your later edit. I recommend you read the discussion link in WP:INDICSCRIPT, there is a good reason why this was decided, as there have been a lot of silly edit wars in articles. I see we both have been editing for roughly the same time Good day to you. -Ugog Nizdast (talk) 09:55, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism at South Asia

[edit]

Hello, I have noticed an edit you just made to South Asia [1]. You modified this sentence "For example, according to the United Nations geographical region classification,[1] Southern Asia comprises the countries of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Iran, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka." to exclude Iran.

The UN geoscheme referenced in this sentence includes Iran in South Asia. If you repeat this edit, I will have to report you for vandalism

Your messages are invalid and meaning less! My edit on Sonia Gandhi was correct! I made "She is a practising Christian" to "she is practicing Christianity". My grammar is correct. I would instead insist you to buy an English Grammar book, Dont Bite Me! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 07:56, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
re Sonia Gandhi: She is a practising Christian is indeed the correct form. Your change reflected the prevailing sentence structure common to spoken English in the Indian subcontinent but one that is not grammatically correct in standard English grammar. The phrase has, however, since been removed. Please accept that your knowledge and application of English is not perfect and your stubborn insistence upon demanding absolute authority in this matter has backfired rather embarrassingly for you. As others have already advised, please be aware that Wikipedia is a collegial effort: vanity, dogmatism and misplaced assertions of expertise have no place here. Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Bijoy, you're only complicating things by repeating the same stuff in sentences. Stop it please.--Bazaan (talk) 13:21, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is not complicating, please edit the article with a world wide view. Thank you! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 16:11, 6 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
You're repeating words and events in the same sentences and it makes for horrible English. You don't need to teach anyone about world-views, considering you're such a misguided nationalist seeking expansion and disintegration of countries in peace. Your agenda is a huge conflict of interest in Wikipedia, especially in Bangladesh and Bengal-related articles.--Bazaan (talk) 01:30, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think so! Do not try to mess up! Try to understand first!

My problems in Your edit : Bangladesh /ˈbɑːŋlədɛʃ/; Listeni/ˌbæŋɡləˈdɛʃ/ (Bengali: বাংলাদেশ, pronounced: [ˈbaŋlad̪eʃ] ( listen)), officially the People's Republic of Bangladesh (Bengali: গণপ্রজাতন্ত্রী বাংলাদেশ Gônôprôjatôntri Bangladesh), is a country in South Asia. Located on the ancient and fertile Bengal delta, it is bordered by the Republic of India to its north, west and east, the Union of Myanmar (Burma) to its south-east and the Bay of Bengal to its south. It is separated from the Democratic Republic of Nepal and the Kingdom of Bhutan by the narrow Indian Siliguri Corridor. Together with the neighbouring Indian state of West Bengal, it makes up the ethno-linguistic region of Bengal. The name Bangladesh means "Country of Bengal" in the official Bengali language.

The modern borders of Bangladesh took shape during the partition of Bengal and British India in 1947, when the region became the eastern wing of the newly formed state of Pakistan. Renamed as East Pakistan, it was separated from West Pakistan by 1,500 km (993 miles) of Indian territory. Due to political exclusion, ethnic and linguistic discrimination and economic neglect by the politically dominant western-wing, popular agitation, nationalism and civil disobedience led to the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. After independence, the new state proclaimed a secular, multiparty democracy. However, it endured poverty, famine, political turmoil and numerous military coups. The restoration of democracy in 1991 has been followed by relative calm and economic progress, although the country's main political parties remain bitterly polarized.

This suits : The modern borders of Bangladesh took shape during the Partition of Bengal in British India in 1947, when the eastern Bengal region became the eastern wing of the newly formed state of Pakistan which came to be known as East Bengal. East Bengal was later renamed as East Pakistan and was separated from West Pakistan into an independent nation of Bangladesh. Due to political exclusion, ethnic and linguistic discrimination and economic neglect by the politically dominant western-wing, popular agitation and civil disobedience led to the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. After independence, the new state proclaimed a secular, multiparty democracy and became one of the first countries in South Asia and the Muslim world to proclaim a secular democracy. However, it endured widespread poverty, famine, political turmoil and numerous military coups. The restoration of democracy in 1991 has been followed by relative calm and economic progress, although the country's main political parties remain bitterly polarized.

My problems with your edits are that you remove an important link to the Partition of India itself, you keeping repeating the term east bengal five fucking times in two sentences despite it being properly linked in my version, you remove the point about West and East Pakistan being geographically non-contiguous, and you reinserted someone else's unreferenced point about Bangladeshi secular democracy being one of the first in the Muslim world, which if properly referenced I would be glad to keep. Don't mess up things your're not qualified to handle, especially considering your provincial-level views and misguided Bengali nationalist agendas. Plus, you repeatedly violated the 3RR rule in the last few days, and this could result in having you blocked.-Bazaan (talk) 20:00, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Ok! and please "don't try abusing"! Well I understood what you meant now, I would suggest that the partition part to be removed on the very first paragraphs of the article and mention only the independence. Make the article more clean on the first paragraphs. anyways the partition and all stuff are in the detailed history section of the article! What do you say? বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 10:54, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ethnic communities in Kolkata, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Nepali people (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Information (Notice)!

[edit]

I am sorry, but I have closed your Request for adminship prematurely. Simply put, you only have 905 edits on Wikipedia; while your edit count isn't the only determining factor, and numerous people have their own personal standards by which they judge RfA candidates, this particular RfA was all but assured of not passing.

I am sorry about this, and I hope you don't take it personally. If you continue to contribute to the project in a positive fashion, I am confident that you would be able to submit a successful RfA in the future. You may wish to consider applying for an evaluation by other Wikipedia editors for feedback on how to obtain the necessary experience. Once you are ready to request adminship again, there is a guide to requests for adminship.

If you have any other questions about becoming an administrator, please don't hesitate to ask me. Good luck! Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 23:37, 7 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, It was good to know! I have understood it's too early and want to get to know more-on to be experienced! Thank you so much! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 11:42, 8 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Mr User:Future Perfect at Sunrise, Regarding other images you deleted, you are doing false~! Those images are not violations and their source were mentioned! . Please re enter those images! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 05:55, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
All of the ones I deleted were evidently taken from a variety of internet sources, and you fraudulently passed them off as your own. And even if you had truthfully stated their sources (which you didn't), they would still have to be deleted, because the original publications weren't under a free license.
This is a final warning: you need to thoroughly read and understand our image use policies before you attempt any further uploads. If I see you make any more bad uploads, you will be indefinitely blocked. Fut.Perf. 06:02, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Listen Fut.Perf., as you mentioned many links as for i copied from, let me tell you if you search the internet you'll get many such links of a particular image, so please as i mentioned the main source you shall consider them! All those images are importantly needed in article! Please let me know further what could be done! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 06:08, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A friendly advice

[edit]

Hi, instead of accusing others of biting and acting against you, please try and understand the various policies of Wikipedia. Also, the way you have been reverting other users edits in different articles, it may lead you getting blocked for edit warring. I thought of just letting you know because you have recently breached WP:3RR in the article on Bengal. Shovon (talk) 10:39, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know, I thank your friendly advice, but I would also like you to know why I did it, a user named ..Africa-Tanz... ? has removed many basic content. I don't think these contents should be removed! Please look at that edit seriously! Thanks! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 10:44, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Keep going

[edit]

Hi Bijoy! Well, you have been in serious troubles these days, but then, more or less every wikipedian has passed their initial days through the same troubles that you are facing (or even more than yours). It takes time to get accustomed to all those policies. I just hope that you won't lose your enthusiasm, you have been very active as a new editor and have done some good contributions as well. As you are active in WP:BANGLADESH and hoping to become an admin in future, I would suggest you to watchlist Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Bangladesh and Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for Bangladesh-related topics and to participate in the discussions, it would help you to gather more experience and knowledge about the policies. Thanks. Good luck.--Zayeem (talk) 12:01, 9 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Zayeem, I'll start working on your suggested watchlist! Thank you so much! বিজয় চক্রবর্তী (Bijoy Chokroborti) 03:14, 10 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

List of regions of India

[edit]

On 05:57, 23 July 2013, you removed the "Central India" populations and list of districts. Your comment was "removed central india, a term which is invalid."

I fail to understand how the term "Central India" is invalid, and removing the section affects the meaning of the entire article.

  1. "Central India" is a frequently used term. Google search shows 2.9 million results for "Central India". Thus, it seems to be meaningful to very many people.
  2. The other regions of India referred to in the article include "Northern", "Eastern", "Western", and "Southern" (and "North Eastern"). The concept of a "Central" region is intuitive and understandable.
  3. The article references what I believe is an official Ministry of Home Affairs website, referring to the "Central Zonal Council" for its definition of "Central India". Thus, the concept of an Indian "Central Zone", at least, appears to be meaningful to the Indian federal government.
  4. The article Administrative divisions of India refers to these same "zones", but calls the one you deleted the "North Central" zone. (It does not seem to refer to an external source to justify this name.) Thus, even if you oppose the naming of the zone/region, its existence is attested to by other articles.
  5. The article lists populations of the regions, and a section for each region, which combined include the entire population and geography of India. But removing the "Central India" population and section now makes the article incomplete: a huge portion of India's population and geography is now unmentioned in the article. This, the article's meaningfulness and comprehensiveness is injured.

I respectfully suggest that you revert your change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.34.212.202 (talk) 17:52, 10 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
