read kumaon ka ithihas by B D Pandey and other historical books on kumaon, it is clear that Sah or Shah in kumaon devision are not considered kshatriya according to books it is clearly specified that sah/shah word is derived from word sahu and has to history like rajputs have and has no releation in general with Gharwal Pawar Rajput and thakuri of Nepal. However Sah/Shah in Kumaon themselves consider Kshatriya, yes they are urban welthy community engaged in trade and other sectors.
