Information icon Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at Pacific Torah Institute, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use the sandbox for that. Thank you. Reshadp (talk) 14:08, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Reshadp: Can you please explain what is inadequate about the edit summary "unsourced WP:BLP" on an edit that removed unsourced BLP content? The entire section was unsourced biographical content. About non-FAMOUS people no less. BLP policy clearly states that unsourced biographical content about living people can be removed at any time. That's what I did, and you reverted my edit. Can you either explain your actions or revert your edit please? 4.37.252.50 (talk) 15:50, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi @4.37.252.50 Thanks for reaching out. I have re-reviewed the change and yes, it does conform to WP:BLP I have reverted back to your edit. Apologies for the mistake. Reshadp (talk) 16:54, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. 4.37.252.50 (talk) 21:53, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of Church Hill Middle School

[edit]

The Church hill school was the first school in Comal Isd. It was founded in 1870. There is a file on Wikipedia with the picture. The original campus of the district is located right next to the campus I will try to link that file to the article. Also Governor Greg Abbot hosted a round table about education at Church Hill in 2018. Is this good enough or do I need to find more information to make the topic notable enough? Thank you for your time. WikiKermit5 (talk) 20:00, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Why was this IP blocked?

[edit]

This IP was just blocked for undoing a PROD. I'd really like an explanation from the admin that blocked it, the same editor that placed the PROD BTW, as to how doing something completely uncontroversial as removing a PROD is disruptive editing, and I'd also suggest that perhaps the administrator involved might wish to reread WP:INVOLVED. 4.37.252.50 (talk) 14:24, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You are not blocked, nor have you ever been blocked, and if you're referring to Moriwen, they are not an administrator.--Bbb23 (talk) 14:56, 14 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

School

[edit]

hello, I saw that you canceled my request to delete the pages Lycée Jacques-Prévert (Boulogne-Billancourt) and Lycée Jacques Prevert (Haiti) with the justification the reputation is not a factor. So if I understand this, I can create a page of any educational establishment in France? If yes its stupid, if no, then why these two high school are the exception ? May 2024

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm GoldRomean. I noticed that you recently removed content from Bremerton High School without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Fox News is a fairly reliable source (when not talking about politics or science, which is not the case here). GoldRomean (talk) 01:59, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Religious freedoms and free speech are both highly political issues, GoldRomean. Please follow WP:BRD and start a discussion to gain consensus for inclusion of this bit. Lacking consensus, default position is the content is out. Consensus is required for inclusion, not removal. 4.37.252.50 (talk) 02:43, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
On Wikipedia, consensus is also required for content removal. Sorry, I didn't look into the source and I agree that Fox News is not really reliable in this case. However, I don't understand the removal of the 6-3 decision, which is supported by many, more reliable, sources. GoldRomean (talk) 14:23, 4 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First, cite the policy for consensus being required to remove recently added content. Don't waste too much time on it though, because it doesn't exist. Second, is there something you didn't understand about following BRD, or my request to take your issue to the article talk page? I won't be engaging in discussions on the issues here. 4.37.252.50 (talk) 03:06, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
See WP:CRV: Removing a section of an article needs to be at least explained and in some cases discussed. Unexplained content removal (UCR) occurs when the reason is not obvious; the edit is then open to being promptly reverted. I won't be following this up further on the article's talk page, as you are correct in saying that that part was insufficiently sourced and I can not find any other reliable sources that talk about it. Also, looking back, you did indeed provide an adequate edit summary and I used the template incorrectly. Sorry. GoldRomean (talk) 17:51, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Just a note: "Section" is a key word in that policy. I removed a single edit, not a whole section. 4.37.252.50 (talk) 16:28, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I stand corrected. Thank you for editing Wikipedia, and consider making an account. Cheers, GoldRomean (talk) 16:50, 6 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
