[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions are appreciated, but, in this recent edit to Alice Barnes, you removed Articles for deletion notices from articles or removed other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. This makes it difficult to establish consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Hall of Fame
[edit]When mentioning the induction of various women into the "Women's Hall of Fame", you should clearly indicate that this refers to the San Diego County Women's Hall of Fame, who stated mission is to "acknowledge and honor women who have significantly contributed to the quality of life and who have made outstanding volunteer contributions in San Diego County."[1] Simply listing this as the "Women's Hall of Fame" seems a bit like puffery, making the honor seem like more than it really might be. Also, please know that your association with the organization is considered a conflict of interest. Please read up on those guidelines before you continue editing. Issues with Patricia Shaffer
[edit]Hi! Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for your contributions. I took the liberty of deleting Template:Sister Patricia Shaffer, Ph.D. which you created as a copy of mainspace article Patricia shaffer, presumably in error. I also note that the text in Patricia shaffer appears to be a copy of text that appears elsewhere on the web[2][3]. Both sites indicate that the content is copyright. I'm afraid that we cannot accept copyright material without permission. See Wikipedia:COPYRIGHT#Using_copyrighted_work_from_others for more details. Cheers, Bovlb (talk) 23:42, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

- Checking into this a little more, I see that the source website lists "Ashley Gardner" as Executive Director. If this is you, then please follow the instructions above to email your permission to the wikimedia office. Sorry if this is all a bit off-putting, but it is intended to protect the rights of authors. Thanks, Bovlb (talk) 00:52, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
- If I might offer another piece of advice, please read Wikipedia:Notability (people) carefully; that explains our criteria for which people can have an encyclopedia article here. To preserve your articles from deletion, not only must your subject pass the criteria, but your article should also make the supporting claims explicitly. If you want assistance in creating your articles, you could try Wikipedia:Article creation and Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Cheers, Bovlb (talk) 15:48, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
