Hello, Faranan2030. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you.
I am worried about a possible conflict of interest in your edits, in light of the following edits recently made: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] [6]
Please become familiar with the conflict of interest policy and keep it in mind when making future edits. Just to clarify (talk) 02:20, 10 March 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Please avoid spamming multiple pages with "chesshistory.com" links. I'm not sure that website is a reliable source, so it creates the impression that you are, in fact, trying to promote that website. This is prohibited. That website might have some great info and your edits seem to be helping to source articles, which is a good thing; just be careful. Thanks for your contributions. [edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [7] MrOllie (talk) 02:51, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message. I have ensured that all of the links I have included are relevant and lead to informative, well-researched, and thoroughly documented articles on the respective topic. These articles significantly contribute to a reader's understanding of the subject by providing fresh and accurately sourced information from reputable sources. - 'Relevant' isn't sufficient for inclusion of external links. Adding these links has been the main focus of your account. Can you explain your relationship to this website and/or its authors? MrOllie (talk) 12:27, 11 February 2023 (UTC)
- No relationship to the owners of that website or the author. Faranan2030 (talk) 08:33, 12 February 2023 (UTC)
