A barnstar for you!

[edit]
The Special Barnstar
Many congratulations on getting List of Taylor Swift live performances to FL status and thanks so much for the kudos. Very much appreciated. Keep up the good work! Medxvo (talk) 12:58, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Congratulations, Ippantekina! The article you nominated, Bad Blood (Taylor Swift song), has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.
This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. If you would like, you may nominate it to appear on the Main page as Today's featured article. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Gog the Mild (talk) via FACBot (talk) 00:05, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! It's been a while since we've talked, and I really hope you're doing well. I just wanted to ask if I could know the page number of Annie Zaleski's book of Swift's discography for "The Black Dog"—I can access the page though I can't see its page number. Again, I hope you're doing well and thanks in advance! Gained (talk) 08:24, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I also asked you this because you seem to have added Zaleski's book to several song articles lately. Gained (talk) 08:26, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Gained: It seems there are two editions of the Zaleski book, one with page numbers (which is in print; I've been adding this to several song articles) and the other without page numbers (which is available on e-book). I think the TTPD songs are discussed track-by-track in the e-book version, and to be honest I don't know how to retrieve page numbers from that edition lol...
Anyways, is it weird that I was thinking about contacting you to work together on "The Black Dog"? I wanted to bring it to FA status because that's such a freaking genius song... been on constant repeat for the past months on my Spotify now. Ippantekina (talk) 09:10, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Really? I was thinking about the same thing about bringing the article to FA! The song is one of my top three favorites from the double album, though I hesitated bringing it to FA since I was very busy and would take toooo long to do. But since you have the same idea for the article, could you think we can work on it in the near future? (I say "near future" because I am planning to retire at the end of the year) Also, no worries about the page number, I was just asking about it and it isn't a big deal! Gained (talk) 09:35, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Sure I'm down :) Ippantekina (talk) 09:51, 30 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

How You Get the Girl

[edit]

Hello, Ippantekina. Hope you're having a good day. I have been recently expanding How You Get the Girl, referencing the FAs within the WP:TAYLOR project. I'm thinking of giving it a try at FAC, which would be my first one. Can you give it a look and tell me your thoughts? Are there any significant issues? Should I open a peer review request or can the flaws be fixed during the FAC process? Would you like to review it whether through the PR, FAC, or any other way? Do you have any advices related to the FAC process in general? Thanks in advance, I really appreciate your thoughts and and your work :) Medxvo (talk) 20:16, 10 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Medxvo: hey, I'm happy to help! FAC is not a place to "fix" flaws so I'd highly recommend a PR first. For the PR, you might want to personally ask for input from other users, feel free to leave me a message when you open the PR and I'll be happy to look into it. For now I think the article is in pretty good shape :) Ippantekina (talk) 07:10, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I just opened a peer review request for the article, I will be waiting for your thoughts whenever you can. Thank you so much for your instructions and your help, Ippantekina. I will always appreciate that :) Medxvo (talk) 11:22, 11 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations, Ippantekina! The article you nominated, Labyrinth (Taylor Swift song), has been promoted to featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. The nomination discussion has been archived.

Congratulations to this, and new GAs, and today especially for You Belong with Me, "about a song by Taylor Swift, an American musical artist. Those who have heard this song might remember it via the infamous mic grab in 2009. That incident aside, this song is a pretty good pop hit that was everywhere in 2009 but was denounced by feminists."! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:18, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

"You're Not Sorry" question

[edit]

Hello again. I have a quick question about the "You're Not Sorry" before I do a review about. I was curious about why the (Taylor's Version) re-recording is not placed in its own section as it was done for "Bad Blood"? I could understand in cases like "State of Grace" as there appeared to be less coverage on that re-recording in terms of reviews and other aspects, but I was wondering on how it is determined which re-recordings gets a separate section and which ones do not. I did discuss this for the FAC on "How You Get the Girl". I did not want to bring this up on "You're Not Sorry" FAC as I wanted to ask this as part of a discussion rather suggesting changes or anything like that. Aoba47 (talk) 15:18, 19 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Aoba47 thanks for the inquiry and thoughtful observation! For me it really depends on the song itself. Usually for singles with considerable chart success (like "You Belong with Me", "Bad Blood" etc) or a specific album track (like "All Too Well") I would go for a separate section for "Taylor's Version". For the rest, if it is an album track without much coverage/chart success (like "You're Not Sorry" in this case, or "Hey Stephen" or "Welcome to New York"), I'd go for two infoboxes in the lead. So it's really a case by case thing. Ippantekina (talk) 03:12, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your reply and for the kind words. I hope that I did not cause any issues for suggesting this kind of split for "How You Get the Girl" in its FAC. I completely understand your rationale for it. If it is okay with you, I will likely do my review for the "You're Not Sorry" FAC sometime over this upcoming weekend. I have been trying to better balance work on Wikipedia with other things in my life. I think that I have been better about it lately. That being said, I am always happy to help with your FACs as I enjoy reading your work. Aoba47 (talk) 03:26, 20 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Holidays :)

[edit]

Hey, Ippantekina. Hope you're enjoying the day so far :) I have a quick question regarding Christmas Tree Farm, do you think that the first paragraph of the background section here should be removed completely? I believe some of it can be removed but SNUGGUMS removed it completely and I wanted to know your thoughts about this as an uninvolved editor, and if you have any thoughts on how to improve this section and the article in general. You can comment at the peer review if you'd like.

Also many congratulations on the "Fearless" promotion :) Keep up the hard work! Medxvo (talk) 08:30, 25 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Medxvo, thanks for the message. I hope you're having a warm and cozy holiday season too :) Re. "Christmas Tree Farm", I think a sentence or two about Swift's upbringing on a Christmas tree farm doesn't do any harm. Removing it entirely is quite too much, but that's my 2 cents ofc.. Ippantekina (talk) 04:14, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to adjust the section as mush as possible. Thank you so much, Ippantekina. I greatly appreciate your help :)) Medxvo (talk) 06:46, 26 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
