IPA additions
[edit]Hi, thank you for adding IPA notations to articles. However, some of your additions appear to contain obvious errors. Namely: Any English word with more than one syllable has at least one degree of stress; and /ɛ/, /æ/, /ɪ/, etc. are checked vowels so they cannot end a word or precede a vowel. Generally, since Wikipedia requires the content to be verifiable, I think you should first consult a dictionary when considering adding a pronunciation notation to an article—OneLook is a very useful meta-search tool. If you plan to further edit in the area of pronunciation, then please familiarize yourself thoroughly with Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Pronunciation and Help:IPA/English. Also note that MOS:LEADPRON states that only words whose pronunciations are neither well known nor apparent from the spelling require pronunciation notations in the lead. But I appreciate your effort and hope to see you keep contributing in a constructive way. Cheers. Nardog (talk) 21:20, 20 February 2019 (UTC)
