Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to make a note in an edit summary at the source page as well. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 14:40, 16 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to the article on Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli! I noticed the plot summary you added is extremely long—in fact, it is so long it seems to violate our policies on plot summaries. Would you please consider shortening it in accordance with the recommendations on Wikipedia:How to write a plot summary? —Psychonaut (talk) 11:38, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Forking articles

[edit]

Please do not fork articles (that is, creating a separate version of an existing article) as you did with Ramayan (2012 TV Series) and Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. At least for the former article, perhaps you were not aware of the existing article before you started your own version; if this was the case, please make sure that before starting a new article you do a thorough search to make sure there is not already an article on the topic. In any event, unilaterally redirecting the old article to your version, as you did at Ramayan (2012 TV Series), is unacceptable. Wikipedia is a collaboratively edited project, so generally speaking you cannot simply remove work contributed by others wholesale and replace it with your own. If you have something to contribute on an existing topic you should improve rather than replace the corresponding article. I have therefore reverted your redirect and posted a proposal to merge your version into the pre-existing article. —Psychonaut (talk) 20:15, 23 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Zeeyanketu. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to Ramayan (2012 TV Series), because it didn’t appear constructive to me. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, ---zeeyanketu talk to me 04:37, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Ramayan (2012 Television Series). Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Psychonaut (talk) 05:27, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

KRISTEEN65, please stop replacing the contents of Ramayan (2012 TV Series) with your own version of the article, be it via a redirect or by copying and pasting the text of your article. A merger has been proposed; ideally you should give interested editors time to discuss whether and how this ought to be accomplished. Most likely it will be decided to use the union of the information in the two articles, rather than keeping only one or the other. —Psychonaut (talk) 07:59, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the {{copyvio}} template from articles, as you did with Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli. Your action has been reverted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other websites or printed material; such additions will be deleted, and removing copyright notices will not help your case. You can properly contest the deletion at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. If you are the owner of the material, you may release the material under the Creative Commons and GFDL licenses, as detailed at WP:IOWN. Alternatively, you are welcome to create a draft in your own words at Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli/Temp. A tag has been placed on File:Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli Logo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free file with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria. If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the file can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the file is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the file. If the file has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ramayan (2012 Television Series), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Manthra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing, particularly copyright infringement, and abusing multiple accounts. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:08, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
- Unblock this user: This user clearly does not have any bad intentions and their edits are not disruptive , the user edit-wars but I doubt that anyone bothered to tell the user about edit warring and what it is. as for sock puppetry, the user does not seem to know what it is. The user is trying to add text in the Zee TV related articles which are in bad condition, you claim that this user is adding copyvio, I'll let you know that the first paragraph of this "copyvio" was written by ME(using one of my previous accounts, go check the Yahan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli page history if you need proof.) I even translated this text into the Hindi wiki. While trying to explain what copyvio is, other editors just templated the user again and again, having a look at the contributions of this user it may be that their English is not very good and was unable to understand the stilted English templates. Since the user is working in an area that needs a lot of attention and work, such harsh, hostile behavior and blocks should are unacceptable and should not be advocated. --Farah DesaiTalk 14:02, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Yes, the edits have been disruptive.
  2. The lack of any warning about edit warring is irrelevant, since the block was not for edit warring.
  3. What is your evidence that the user does not know what sockpuppetry is? I can't see any edits by this user that indicate that at all. If you have knowledge of what the user knows that I haven't seen then please share it with me, so that I can assess it.
  4. If this account is not a sockpuppet then there are remarkably many strange coincidences, which, by an amazing coincidence, happen to connect this account with quite a large number of other accounts, each one of which has previously been determined to have been used by a sockpuppeteer.
  5. The article you refer to has had 1442 edits. You do not tell me what "previous account" you used to create the doubtful content. Without more help, looking for it would be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Perhaps you can help clarify that.
  6. Content which this editor re-added to the article was published on another web site five months before I can find any evidence of its ever having appeared anywhere in Wikipedia.
  7. Even if "the first paragraph" of the passage was not a copyright infringement, that has no bearing on whether the rest was.
  8. If you have any evidence that the content added, despite apparent prior publication elsewhere, did not infringe copyright, that the impression of sockpuppetry was mistaken, or that any of the other reasons which have led me to take the action I have taken are mistaken, then please present that evidence for assessment. Simply asserting that it is so without explanation does not help me to see where I have made mistakes. JamesBWatson (talk) 14:41, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You "doubt that anyone bothered to tell the user about edit warring"? What do you call the plethora of warning templates and politely worded requests to stop their disruption above? Even if this account is not a sockpuppet, the block is justified on their disruptive behaviour alone. —Psychonaut (talk) 15:45, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
