WiR editathon pages
Hi Megalibrarygirl, I see that you create the monthly editathon pages like Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Meetup/52. Thanks for this and all the other work you do for WiR.
I'd like to suggest some tweaks to the info given in the right-hand coloumn, under "Add to articles":
1: There is no template {{women-stub}}. There is no Category:Women stubs. Please just ask people to add {{stub}}. They could add {{bio-stub}}, or {{UK-bio-stub}} etc, but that can be counter-productive as it tends to hide the article from the WikiGnomes of stub-sorting, who mostly work from Category:Stubs (which should never be added manually, but only through {{stub}}).
2: Instead of saying:
- Choose applicable Categories such as: Category:Women and relative subcategories
perhaps we should say:
- Choose applicable Categories including relevant subcategories of Category:Women
... as "Category:Women" is rarely going to be appropriate, everyone ought to fit into one or more subcategories of it.
3: On the "Add to article talk pages": the Women's history project defines its scope for biographies as women born pre-1900, and those born 1900-1950 "if reliable sources discuss her life or career in the context of women's history or as contributing to significant societal or cultural change." Perhaps we should change our wording here too. (I was born only a couple of years after 1950 and don't see myself as historical.)
What do you think? PamD 08:55, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- PamD I like those ideas a lot! I'm going to incorporate them into the template. :D Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:00, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Devkot
This page's real name is Bangarh, & current Wikipedia link is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Devkot please change the link to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangarh for Google Maps Bangarh page improving, if you change the link then in Bangarh Wikipedia page is automatically link with Google Maps Bangarh page. then people will easily search & know about Bangarh Page. Please fix it 🙏🙏 THANK YOU Nayanhalder57 (talk) 17:51, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- You're right. It's weird to list the page by its alternate name, Nayanhalder57. Every source I found lists it as Bangarh or Bhangarh. Thanks for the head's up and I've moved it. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 18:00, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank you so much dear for listening to me& fix the issues i tell you. If i found more issues with any Wikipedia page, i will tell you to fix it. Thank you again Nayanhalder57 (talk) 18:17, 2 August 2017 (UTC)

- @Nayanhalder57: I fixed it. She's clearly notable and should have her own page. BTW, can you add the Hindi sources? I found a few, but I'm not fluent in Hindi. Also don't forget to sign your posts with ~~~~ Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:30, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Thank You so much, i will try my best to add hindi sources. Nayanhalder57 (talk) 17:42, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- No problem and thanks for adding the Hindi, Nayanhalder57! Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:49, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
Hello ma'am please change the page link to Koushani Mukherjee from Koushani Mukherjee (Actress) for fastest searchable the actress name on Google or other site. Nayanhalder57 (talk) 11:49, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) As the article was previously at that title and deleted after AfD it now needs a formal Requested move which I've requested at Wikipedia:Requested_moves/Technical_requests#Uncontroversial_technical_requests (at the second attempt, having used the wrong sort of move request first by accident!) PamD 12:20, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

Worlds of Wonder
Hello ma'am please remove (Amusement Park) from the link https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worlds_of_Wonder_(Amusement_Park) because google maps & other site cant detect the place for faster experience. Thank you Nayanhalder57 (talk) 03:28, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi Susan
I want to thank you deeply for your work on the Wikipedia page for Women's International Networking Conference. It is so important for us women of the WIN network that the organization gets known better. WIN has been around for 20 years helping many women to connect and changed their life for the better and it will continue doing hopefully for many years to come thanks to the help of many allies/friends! Thank you Laura Lllallalll (talk) 15:25, 7 August 2017 (UTC) |
- @Lllallalll:, it's no problem: WIN was notable. Adding women's works to Wikipedia definitely raises their profiles among the general public. I've known quite a few people in my real life who've learned more about women's history from Wikipedia than they did in school! Thanks for the star! :D Megalibrarygirl (talk) 19:10, 10 August 2017 (UTC)

Kaldighi
Kaldighi page is automatically redirect to Gangarampur, both are different page. Please do right — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2405:204:1097:6A92:2018:44C6:E221:EEA6 (talk) 16:49, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Nayanhalder57: The reason the page was redirected was because there were no sources. Do you have any sources to add? I can see that you wrote a lot, but you need to back up everything with a reference or something like this can/will happen. If you have enough references, we can restore the article. My searches are coming up short, so they may all be in Hindi. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:05, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
Can you say me that how to add source/refference in page Nayanhalder57 (talk) 17:17, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
- Nayanhalder57, first we'll have to reverse the redirect. Then you can add them. First make sure you have several to add. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:29, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
Hello Megalibrarygirl, i have added references, please review the article Kaldighi again. Nayanhalder57 (talk) 07:02, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Nayanhalder57: The page looks pretty good! The pictures are beautiful. Keep adding references if you've got them. The redirect seems to be taken care of, too. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 16:07, 19 August 2017 (UTC)
Thanks Megalibrarygirl i will add more reference, so please review the page because page does not exist on google search Nayanhalder57 (talk) 03:00, 20 August 2017 (UTC)
- Anytime, Nayanhalder57! The article isn't waiting to be patrolled and is Article Space, so it not being indexed by Google may be a matter of time. I'm not sure how long it takes for an article to start showing up in searches. Thanks for working on these articles and expanding Wikipedia, especially for India which I've heard is under-represented on Wikipedia. :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 22:45, 20 August 2017 (UTC)

Edits to Susannah Fullerton
Hi,
Thank you for improving the page: Susannah Fullerton. It is very much better than my original work, I have very little experience in editing Wikipedia and seek some advice. I am Susannah's P.A. and began editing her page in November 2015. Susannah has noted a couple of points she would like consideration to be edited. I don't wish to go in and change your work without raising it with you first.
1. Susannah queries reference No. 2 regarding the statement that the Jane Austen Society of Australia (JASA) is 'one' of the largest literary societies in Australia. JASA believes it is the largest. As Susannah does not have access to the reference cited, is it possible to verify this statement please? These references may be relevant: https://jasa.com.au/about-jasa/, http://abbeymuseum.com.au/jane-austen-society-australia/
2. Susannah was born in Canada, she only grew up in New Zealand (I think we had this originally).
3. The line: "Brief Encounters (2009) is a collection of writers' memoirs of their travels through early colonized Australia," This statement is incorrect, it appears that your source material has an error. Susannah states that it is not a memoir, but a research work which recounts in narrative the visits to Australia of the selected writers during during the time period. I do have an alternative reference here: Transnational Literature http://dspace.flinders.edu.au/xmlui/bitstream/handle/2328/7944/Brief%20Encounters.pdf;jsessionid=45380CBFB2569FF3747925C95FDCC4CE?sequence=1
I would appreciate your time is helping me to correct this listing. Thank you in advance.
--Libbycat50 (talk) 05:39, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- I see there are additional biographical details here but I don't know how reliable that site is. Perhaps they should be checked out one by one. I was interested to see that she was originally an actress and that her maiden name was Wilson.--Ipigott (talk) 09:14, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- @Libbycat50: As for the source that the Jane Austin Society is the largest, yes the source I used said one of the largest, but I think it was an older source. I can use the Abbey Museum source, though. I noticed the Canada part was fixed, but I wish there was a better reference than Goodreads. A reliable source such as a newspaper or journal would be better. Also, it was my transliteration to use the word "memoir" since I figured it covered reminiscences about traveling in Australia. I suppose travel narratives is more appropriate. Megalibrarygirl (talk) 17:07, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thank you @Ipigott: and @Megalibrarygirl: for your assistance in correcting, updating and improving this article. It is appreciated. --Libbycat50 (talk) 21:27, 22 August 2017 (UTC)

I think we could also add the image template to the essay about creating biographies. I can do a blurb about fair use, but I have no idea about the verbiage to talk about what an image needs to meet to be put on commons. Give me a bit to write a section and then if you could write about requirements for commons that would be great. If not, no worries. SusunW (talk) 19:15, 25 August 2017 (UTC)

Sept WiR invitation
Hi Sue. I've been pretty busy recently but I've now prepared a draft invitation which you can improve as you wish. Thanks for your continuing support.--Ipigott (talk) 08:36, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, Ipigott. How do I take a look at the draft? Will you and Rosiestep want me to send out the invites this time? :) Megalibrarygirl (talk) 00:03, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- The easy way is to go to any of the new editathon pages and simply click on "September 2017" under Event templates. Alternatively, you can go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Outreach/2017 and you'll find it near the bottom of the page. In order to send it out by mass messaging, you need to copy the edit version and add a signature. See how Rosie's been adding this for past invitations. (I see there are instructions on How to MassMessage immediately below the invitation.) I thought about adding #1day1women but I thought people would see this anyway when they turn up the individual editathon pages. But by all means add it if you wish. Then you can send it out by MassMessaging.--Ipigott (talk) 08:05, 28 August 2017 (UTC)
- Alternatively, you can reach the WiR Talkpage Invites near the bottom of {{Women in Red}}. Let me know when's a good time (today? tomorrow?) so we can talk through the MassMessage process. :) --Rosiestep (talk) 15:21, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Hi, Megalibrarygirl,
Thanks for you're feedback, kind words, and helping out! Here is her IMDb listings to help you help me get her in order, thanks for helping me get her up and running not to mention furthering keeping her memory alive.
