Unfairly blocked
[edit]Hello. I was unfairly blocked by Wikipedia. I volunteer at the retirement community where Dr. Heimlich stays. He has asked me to help him clean up his biography on Wikipedia, because he suspects his estranged son has been "vandalizing" his web page and ruining his credibility. You can see the edit history under his own account "Henry Heimlich". I have my own account "Rambaldion". Please help us. Thank you. Rambaldion 12:33, July 20, 2012 (UTC)
- Your block was perfectly proper. We don't "clean up" articles by removing properly sourced content. NPOV requires the inclusion of both positive and negative content when it is properly sourced and framed. Henry Heimlich can still have an input by using the talk page of his biography, but he does not "own" it, nor can he control it. He can only use policy-based reasoning to affect its content. He will first need to get his username unblocked, which can be done by following the instructions on the talk page there. If he will do that, we are willing to cooperate with him. He may not always get his will, but if he doesn't try, nothing will change. It's worth a try, so please encourage and help him to do so. -- Brangifer (talk) 16:53, 20 July 2012 (UTC)
