Please do not add commercial links (or links to your own private websites) to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links to the encyclopedia. If you feel the link should be added to the article please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thanks. -- GraemeL (talk) 20:40, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:Swiftsundance.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Swiftsundance.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:10, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
CS1 error on Fresh Blood
[edit]Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Fresh Blood, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 15:55, 8 September 2023 (UTC)
Blog spamming
[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Fresh Blood. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. Haoreima (talk) 16:48, 9 September 2023 (UTC)
- I was trying to be helpful, adding links to the subject's own site, as he was someone I was researching. I have no commercial connection etc. Slitchfield (talk) 20:24, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
