Thanks, and a question
I'm writing for two reasons. First, I contacted you a little while ago regarding Marathi. You offered to step in but a talk page starker who happen to be an OTRS agent saw the request and helped out. You Artie knew that because it's documented above, but what you don't know is I stumbled across a ticket relating to the Hindi Wikipedia, and I was able to contact that agent and resolve another to so I have you to thank for that even if indirect.
I second reason for writing is that I sent you an email a few days ago. If you still plan to respond, let me know but if not, no big deal. However, I'd like to open up that discussion with someone else if it's not something you care to pursue.--S Philbrick(Talk) 16:10, 25 August 2018 (UTC)
- Glad to know about the other ticket. If you think I can help you to connect with any other Wikimedia, kindly let me know. --Titodutta (talk) 19:36, 26 August 2018 (UTC)

The article Metro Vaartha has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Waggie (talk) 04:51, 26 September 2018 (UTC)

- Thanks, your replies help a lot:-)For purpose of posterity, we were indirectly discussing this thread.
- I will note that in my warning-note to him after a comprehensive review of his creations (all of which were near-blatant promo-spam), I asked him
are you in any manner/form involved with the Marathi film Industry?

i am film lover

Hi Tito, can you take a look here He appears to be from Kollam, Kerala and I feel he is a genuinely helpful person, only handicapped by knowledge of our policies. He has tried his hands on several things such as NPP, AFD, etc and burnt his hands. But I guess, before jumping into anything if he can have a good knowledge and guidance, it will help the WP India project a lot. So far I have provided answers to his Questions and bits and pieces of help. I was browsing the list of adopters and saw that you have an empty slot. - User:Anthony Appleyard with all due respect,
I dont see this to be a case of WP:Parallel historiessince the text merge was just couple of days old and no edit done since. For the purpose of my knowledge, can you please elaborate more why you disagree with a histmerge. thanks. --DBigXrayᗙ 15:25, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- User:Anthony Appleyard with all due respect,
- @DBigXray and Path slopu: Documentary theatre's history is from 05:37, 2 December 2005 to 13:30, 29 September 2018, and in recent months it was running at over 10000 bytes. Verbatim theatre's history is from 20:17, 1 November 2005 to 17:02, 27 September 2018, and in recent months it was running at about 6000 bytes, until the textmerge at about 16:04, 27 September 2018. That looks a lot like WP:Parallel histories to me. Anthony Appleyard (talk) 15:44, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you for the kind reply, agree with your clarification and decision. regards. --DBigXrayᗙ 15:50, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
The file File:Saamana logo.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
While the NFUR was reasonable when this was uploaded, this file is rendered redundant by File:SaamanaCover.jpg, which was recently added to Wikipedia with a similar (but in my view stronger) non-free-use justification. This file depicts the logo of this organization, which is also present in the other file.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Vanamonde (talk) 04:08, 27 September 2018 (UTC)
- The front page photo was uploaded recently. --Titodutta (talk) 07:12, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Interface administrator changes
- Cyberpower678 • Deryck Chan • Oshwah • Pharos • Ragesoss • Ritchie333

- There is an open request for comment on Meta regarding the creation a new user group for global edit filter management.
- Partial blocks should be available for testing in October on the Test Wikipedia and the Beta-Cluster. This new feature allows admins to block users from editing specific pages and in the near-future, namespaces and uploading files. You can expect more updates and an invitation to help with testing once it is available.
- The Foundations' Anti-Harassment Tools team is currently looking for input on how to measure the effectiveness of blocks. This is in particular related to how they will measure the success of the aforementioned partial blocks.

Additionally, the minimum support percentage required to be appointed to a two-year term on ArbCom has been increased to 60%. ArbCom candidates who receive between 50% and 60% support will be appointed to one-year terms instead.
- Nominations for the 2018 Arbitration Committee Electoral Commission are being accepted until 12 October. These are the editors who help run the ArbCom election smoothly. If you are interested in volunteering for this role, please consider nominating yourself.

- Sorry for using the short form. DMY is Date Month Year (eg. 12 October 2018) and MDY is Month Date Year (October 12, 2018). In this article, in the infobox "19 May 1958" (you have df=yes, which is "date first"=yes, and article starts with Maria Idolina Landolfi (born May 19, 1958 in Roma – died June 27, 2008. . . Perhaps the date format should be consistent? --Titodutta (talk) 11:09, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
- Oh, good: I know that in English is correct MDY, but as I see that quite everyone take DMY I try to use this last. Thanls a lot and have a nice week end!!! Rei Momo (talk) 11:39, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi greetings, I would like to use rollback right in enwiki. Now I revert vandalism with the help of twinkle by recent changes patrol. But I thinks that using huggle and igloo is more effective than twinkle. So I like to use rollback right. I have more than 700+ edits in wikpedia. I have practice with counter vandalism with twinkle. What should I do before placing requests. Kindly please help.--PATH SLOPU (Talk) 16:44, 10 October 2018 (UTC)

Need a sugassion
Dada, Gariahat Chess Club was written by me few days back. Right now page is deleted due to Copyright violation. Although I don't think that page was in copyright problem after last revision before deleting the page. While tagged for speedy deletion then may be it violated copyright issue but not after last revision. Now I want this page as a draft for necessary revision or send me copy of latest content of that article. To get the copy, I apply in Wikipedia Deletion review page. But hardy find any constructive suggestion there. Now Suggest me what to do to get latest content of that article, so that I can retouched again on that. Thanks শক্তিশেল (talk) 11:32, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher)@শক্তিশেল: Well, consensus as to it's being a breach of copyright was pretty strong, and WP has to be extremely vigilant on matters of copyright, as they have real-world, possibly legal, implications. So with this article, you best approach would be to re-write it from the beginning, using only your own words, paraphrasing what reliable sources say. That way, you will end up with a nice article and no problems! Hope this helps while you await Titodutta. Happy editing! ——SerialNumber54129 11:42, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Thanks. Ofcource i can re-write. My request please have a look to my latest revision. I doubt wheather latest revision was cheaked or not before deleting. I think it deleted on besis of revision no 862464219. But i revised savaral times after that. Actually I exactly did as you suggest. Paraphrased the reliable sources untill be deleted. Thanks. শক্তিশেল (talk) 12:16, 13 October 2018 (UTC)
- Hello, you can't really copy first on Wikipedia, and rewrite it later. It is suggested to rewrite directly. Rewrite the text completely. You may read WP:Copyvio, and Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing, which should be avoided. There are a couple of tools which can check duplication, see it at WP:INDT. Please feel free to ask questions. --Titodutta (talk) 16:56, 13 October 2018 (UTC)

Rubber (Tamil novel)
Hi - this is a Tamil language novel titled ரப்பர். You have deleted the Tamil name from the info box. May I know why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Madhusam (talk • contribs) 10:47, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
- Please see Wikipedia:INDICSRIPTS, specially if you put Tamil before English, as it was here looks very odd. --Titodutta (talk) 10:50, 14 October 2018 (UTC)
