Per earlier edit summary, I think the entire edit is unhelpful and should be reverted on grounds described, but undo the worst parts. Tom Clancy is not a high-value link, the novel is, and see WP:OFTHESAMENAME. author-link is the canonical form; if anything, scripts should standardize the other way. "besteller list" is more common than "best-seller list", and is style pref regardless. Don't modify a quote's spacing. undo
  • curprev 02:5502:55, 15 June 2023 SnowFire talk contribs 69,235 bytes +225 Add cite (although it does say "according to later sources", but eh). WotC having "cash" in the bank was important - it wasn't, say, a profitable business paying down debts. Factoring wasn't a problem directly, it was one of the financial shenanigans used to cover for cash-flow problems. "Wizards of the Coast" is a company, so no "The" in front which makes it sound like actual wizards. Adkinson as mere businessman is burying the lede - he was the founder/CEO of WotC. undo

Add a source on which Indiana Jones product it was rather than the mysterious "a supplement"; Appelcline, while writing on rpg.net, is at least a published author on the topic. undo

  • curprev 21:4021:40, 22 September 2022 SnowFire talk contribs 66,919 bytes +4,993 possibly controversial change - re-orient Williams section to separate out gaming stuff vs. other stuff. It already isn't a pure chronological take, and it's a bit scattershot currently. Try to separate out the topics and then be semi-chronological within them. Some of the bits seem to copy & paste from the WotC history a little too directly (e.g. "Count Strahd Von Zarovich becomes one of the most popular and enduring villains"). Bit on too many settings in disputes is covered elsewhere. undo
