Glantz cites the same monograph (JM-154) and says: "This estimate may not be far from the truth. Recent official Soviet calculations of its army’s losses indicate that the 1st Far Eastern Front suffered 21,069 casualties in the Manchurian campaign, including 6,324 killed, captured, missing and 14,745 wounded and sick. At least half of these probably occurred during the fighting at and around Mutanchiang." 300 tanks is a misquote by him. undo
