In chapter 110, Queequeg in His Coffin, we see his death, crucifixion, and resurrection. Queequeg's coffin then becomes the ship's life buoy (immortality-preserver, as Ahab puts it) in chapter 126, the Life Buoy, serving as the metaphor for salivation through the miracle of the resurrection.
