While there was some initial debate after its perihelion passage and closest approach to Earth, retroactively in recent years, it is considered a great comet. Its peak magnitude was 0, and it was easily found by casual observers even in and around major cities. While it is a tad bit early to add Tsuchinshan-Atlas, will leave it in the list as I believe it will be remembered as such. undo
