  • curprev 06:3806:38, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,266 bytes +9 Newest ACLED entry still reports clashes inside the city: "On 25 August 2023, Somaliland security forces clashed with SSC Militia in Laascaanood town." Though according to other sources the city itself and surroundings is already under SSC controll. https://horseedmedia.net/somalia-ssc-forces-capture-somalilands-goojacade-military-base-381967 I'm still waiting for something like reuters preferably. Marked as blue because SSC intends to join Somalia but is not part right now. undo
  • curprev 06:0906:09, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,257 bytes +158 Continuation. ACLED: "On 29 August 2023, Al Shabaab took control over Masagaway village (Ceel Dheere, Galgaduud) from government security forces (SNA)." undo
  • curprev 06:0306:03, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,099 bytes 0 Continuation from last edit. ACLED: "On 28 August 2023, Al Shabaab took control over Galcad village (Ceel Dheere, Galgaduud) from government security forces (SNA). " undo
  • curprev 06:0106:01, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,099 bytes 0 Local counter-offensive happened. ACLED: "On 29 August 2023, Al Shabaab took control over Ceel Buur town (Ceel Buur, Galgaduud) from government security forces (Danab/Bancroft/SNA/Gorgor) and Habar Gedir clan militia." The location on ALCED's map is the same as El Buur so its safe to asume its the same lcoation. undo
  • curprev 05:5305:53, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,099 bytes +164 ACLED: "On 27 August 2023, Al Shabaab took control over Wabxo village (Ceel Buur, Galgaduud) from government security forces (SNA)." undo
  • curprev 05:4905:49, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 26,935 bytes −137 Removed siege from Hudur. Its been a while and I can only find reports of hit and run attacks on ACLED about it but no sources for a continued siege. undo
  • curprev 05:3905:39, 5 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,072 bytes +168 ACLED: "On 14 August 2023, Al Shabaab took control over Geedweyne village (Doolow, Gedo) from government security forces (SNA) and police forces. No clashes were reported." undo

  • curprev 04:5604:56, 3 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 26,904 bytes +28 Changed Miskat form a settlement to a grid to represent that it is a mountain range. Also added Mountains to its map name. undo
  • curprev 04:2404:24, 3 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 26,876 bytes −380 Gonna remove these base icons. The bases aren't noteworthy on their own and their relevance has been over since 7 years and the town represents control enough. They also overlap and just make the map uglier to read and click on. undo
  • curprev 04:1804:18, 3 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,256 bytes −3 ACLED: "On 4 August 2023, overnight, Al Shabaab carried out a hit and run attack against government security forces (SNA) at a base in Awdheegle village (Afgooye, Lower Shabelle). There were no casualties. Al Shabaab claimed responsibility." undo
  • curprev 04:0504:05, 3 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,259 bytes +59 Started the process of creating order in the file by ordering stuff alphabetically and adding region headers. undo
  • curprev 03:1203:12, 3 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,200 bytes +152 Added district capital Hagar also spelled Xagar under Shabaab control according to ACLED. "On 9 July 2023, Jubaland security forces and government security forces (SNA) clashed with Al Shabaab in Hagar town (Afmadow, Lower Juba). The troops took control over the town and left in the afternoon. Al Shabaab returned to the town. Casualties unknown." undo

  • curprev 02:5202:52, 1 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,054 bytes −5 Dusmareb also spelled Dhusamareb is under government control https://www.reuters.com/world/africa/somalia-plans-eliminate-al-shabaab-months-analysts-sceptical-2023-08-18/ undo
  • curprev 02:3902:39, 1 September 2023 Cesshire talk contribs 27,059 bytes −171 Original source is a dead link and 3 years old. Because I can't find anything on the internet about the location itself and it's impossible to know who even owned it before the battle and because its far to small to become relevant again I am gonna remove it. undo
