"Nebel" in German military lingo is "smoke". undo Tags: Undo Reverted
  • curprev 14:2914:29, 11 November 2022 Cortador talk contribs 23,608 bytes −185 Using "smoke mortar" as a translation is dubious. It's not actually what that term translates as. The source given, a user-generated online dictionary, cites no sources itself, but has a discussion that casts doubt on the translation: https://dict.leo.org/forum/viewWrongentry.php?idThread=192734&idForum=7&lang=de&lp=ende There's no source mentioning that this is e.g. a term the Allies used. The initial claims that this was a code name isn't backed up by any sources. undo Tag: Reverted
