Ever since he became the competition director for SHR, he has returned to interim crew chief if needed. undo

Here's the citation again in case this edit is checked: https://www.arcaracing.com/2023/06/06/entry-list-general-tire-200-at-sonoma-raceway-2/ I'm surprised SHR chose the #9 for Preece in this race instead of the #00, #10 or #98, other numbers the team runs that are available. undo

He was previously the crew chief of the DGR #17 in the Truck Series, driven by Preece (and other drivers), so he's continuing to work with him in 2023. Jonathan Toney will be the crew chief for the #00 Xfinity car of Custer in 2023. He was previously an engineer for SHR and is one of the longest tenured employees at SHR having worked for the team before Stewart's co-ownership when the team was Haas CNC Racing! undo
