No one knows who the first Bodden was or where exactly he came from, but he would have arrived in Cayman in the late 17th century after 1670, when Cayman was part of the Kingdom of England. Scotland was a totally separate country. The first recorded inhabitant of Cayman was Isaac Bodden, born circa 1700.
