Hello PAGENAME! Welcome etc.

Hi,
Flakeloaf, I am in the process of creating the War against Christmas, and so it is not completed yet.
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. ==Chi-ling Lin Mediation Request==

Since neither editor expressed a desire to keep this mediation private, we'd may as well hash it out on the article's mediation page. After sandboxing the wording a bit here, I've moved my initial impressions there. Flakeloaf 03:30, 21 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the mediation. I like your assessment and examples, especially since it comes from an English speaking, non-American perspective, which will hopefully produce a more balanced result than what I might suggested.

Well, at the moment, not really. For the last week or so, Jeff has been persistently making false accusations and personal attacks about me all over the wiki, and that includes this so-called mediation request. Basically, any recent discussion with him boils down to him namecalling rather than making actual arguments. Several people have pointed that out to him already, but he apparently feels justified in attacking people he considers disruptive. If you can get him to retract those accusations and attacks, and to stop making them in the future, I'd be happy do discuss our disagreements. ::I'll keep it centralized here for the moment, Flake, you have my permission to move it to the mediation page at any point. I have not made any false accusations, and I feel that I have not made any personal attacks (with the exception of one this morning that I half-heartedly regret). I've made my statement at the MedCab page and stand by it, and I do not plan to retract any of my statements. I don't plan on responding to him in the future unless it's for substantive discussion, but I can't promise that. A lot of good faith in this process would be restored if he made a vow to cease his disruptive editing and actually make efforts to build consensus as this progresses, but I'm not going to allow myself to feel bullied. --badlydrawnjeff talk 15:34, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
:To refer to another user as "disruptive" is tantamount to calling them a vandal; that sounds like a personal attack to me. Not expressing remorse over having attacked someone earlier is also not conducive to bridge-building. Farbeit from me to advise anyone, but since you're already listening to me might I suggest we all revisit this subject next week when the wikistress has defused a tad? Hi,
