==Early years==
Maxx Frank was born Clarence N. Frank on {{birthdate|1966|06|25}} in [[Hammond, Indiana]]. He is the son of a 6th grade school teacher and [[U.S. Marine Corps|Marine]]/Pastor. Maxx began playing the piano at the age of 3 years old and by the age of 12 was the main organist at his father's church.

Maxx began his professional career with the [[Gospel music]] group, [[The Winans]]. Later he joined the gospel group [[Commissioned (gospel group)|Commissioned]].
