Revert on Trey Anastasio
Mondoweiss
I have to ask you why you reverted back to a picture which replaced an in-concert photo of Trey Anastasio with a fan photo of, perhaps, Trey captioned with a throwaway Phish meme of "Poor Sue", in the presence of three unrelated people, added by a single-edit contributor who uploaded the picture a few hours ago. You didn't leave a explanation in your edit summary of what appears to be a substandard picture replacement, so I am curious as your thinking on the change. Thanks for your time. -- Michael Devore (talk) 07:14, 31 August 2014 (UTC)
You should self revert this edit. There is no secondary source coverage and there is no consensus to include it. It should stay out of the article until there is a policy based reasons and agreement to include it. Also, read WP:MINOR. Please confirm that you will self-revert or explain why not on the article talk page. <small style="border: 1px solid;padding:1px 4px 1px 3px;white-space:nowrap"><font color="#000">Sean.hoyland</font> - talk</small> 18:09, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

:The article is 1RR under WP:ARBPIA as announced on talk page. You also have made more than one revert in 24 hours with the Lowicki info. Also the new personal blog entry. It's a clear WP:RS/WP:BLP violation as agreed by a couple editors who came over from WP:BLPN. Please revert the change so I don't have to take you to Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring per below template. (Also note the Times of Israel blog info may be ok IF you detail what it says.) I'll look now.

Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring&mdash;even if you don't violate the three-revert rule&mdash;should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

File source problem with File:Samdavjunjw.jpg
Thank you for uploading :File:Samdavjunjw.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.<!-- Template:You can request undeletion -->
To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. <!-- Template:uw-3rr --> CarolMooreDC 18:44, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Cogosx7.png. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

 • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
 • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 18:09, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of Dispute resolution discussion

[edit]

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard regarding a content dispute in which you may have been involved. Content disputes can hold up article development, therefore we are requesting your participation to help find a resolution. The thread is "List of indigenous peoples Talk page".

Guide for participants

If you wish to open a DR/N filing, click the "Request dispute resolution" button below this guide or go to Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/request for an easy to follow, step by step request form.

What this noticeboard is:
 • It is an early step to resolve content disputes after talk page discussions have stalled. If it's something we can't help you with, or is too complex to resolve here, our volunteers will point you in the right direction.
What this noticeboard is not:
 • It is not a place to deal with the behavior of other editors. We deal with disputes about article content, not disputes about user conduct.
 • It is not a place to discuss disputes that are already under discussion at other dispute resolution forums.
 • It is not a substitute for the talk pages: the dispute must have been discussed extensively on a talk page (not just through edit summaries) before resorting to DRN.
 • It is not a court with judges or arbitrators that issue binding decisions: we focus on resolving disputes through consensus, compromise, and explanation of policy.
Things to remember:
 • Discussions should be civil, calm, concise, neutral, and objective. Comment only about the article's content, not the other editors. Participants who go off-topic or become uncivil may be asked to leave the discussion.
 • Let the other editors know about the discussion by posting on their user talk page.
 • Sign and date your posts with four tildes "~~~~".
 • If you ever need any help, ask one of our volunteers, who will help you as best as they can. You may also wish to read through the FAQ page located here and on the DR/N talkpage.

Please take a moment to review the simple guide and join the discussion. Thank you! EarwigBot operator / talk 20:48, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Revert on Trey Anastasio

[edit]

I have to ask you why you reverted back to a picture which replaced an in-concert photo of Trey Anastasio with a fan photo of, perhaps, Trey captioned with a throwaway Phish meme of "Poor Sue", in the presence of three unrelated people, added by a single-edit contributor who uploaded the picture a few hours ago. You didn't leave a explanation in your edit summary of what appears to be a substandard picture replacement, so I am curious as your thinking on the change. Thanks for your time. -- Michael Devore (talk) 07:14, 31 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
