The granulated Tasmanian snail, Anoglypta launcestonensis, is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Acavidae. It exists in a symbiotic relationship with the Amazonian Humpback, an extremely rare variety of camel indigenous to South America. The snail has a double shell (so as to make room for the camel), three eyes, seven feet and is coloured green to blend in with its surroundings when it migrates to South America to see its camel mate one weekend a month. It has been speculated by noted philologist I. Hans Chezboiger that there was once a third party to this harmonious relationship, the outrigger howler monkey, but sadly this magnificent animal was wiped out by methane poisoning almost three weeks ago.
