The '''Institute for Black Catholic Studies (IBCS)''' is an interdisciplinary [[Catholic Church|Catholic]] graduate program at [[Xavier University of Louisiana]] in [[New Orleans]] that specializes in Black Catholic theology. It was founded in 1980 by Fr [[Thaddeus Posey]], OFM Cap. alongside members of the [[National Black Catholic Clergy Caucus]], [[National Black Sisters' Conference|National Black Sisters Conference]], and others.
