Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Chris.sumner12, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Ian and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.
I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please complete the student training, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. License tagging for File:HydroCond.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:HydroCond.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.
To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 21:05, 28 November 2015 (UTC)

Picking articles
[edit]It looks like you are up to speed on editing. Now it is time to choose an article to create or edit. Pick 3-5 potential articles and list them below. A good place to start is WikiProject Mass spectrometry. At the bottom of the page is the table of articles by quality and importance (also here) and the list of popular pages (also here). Pick out some interesting stub ([1]) or start ([2]) class articles. --Kkmurray (talk) 16:55, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
Article Possibilities
[edit]- Chemi-Ionization - This article is currently just a small blurb on Ion source , but I believe there is enough information about his concept to deserve its own Wikipedia page. Finding information would be relatively easy to get it to the level it needs to be.
- Penning-Ionization - This page is just a small section of Ion source , similar to Chemi-Ionization and isn't even listed here but there is plenty of information to create a page for this topic.
- Laser spray ionization - This topic is not well represented and since lasers are part of the future of mass spec, I think this topic should be covered.
- Plasma-desorption mass spectrometry - This is a small section of a separate page as well, but there is plenty of information out there to present this topic on its own page here on Wikipedia.
— Preceding unsigned comment added by Chris.sumner12 (talk • contribs)
- I will put you down for Penning ionization. You will need to work with User:Wyattf99 who has chemi-ionization. --Kkmurray (talk) 15:28, 13 February 2016 (UTC)
Hey!
[edit]I hope you're looking forward to this semester with Dr. Murray as much as I am. Also as it looks like you've got some experience with Wiki editing I may be coming to you for assistance if I can't get it on my own. Happy article hunting! Ecamp4 (talk) 23:41, 2 February 2016 (UTC)
