Hi there. I only last night saw your post on my talk page about that comic book article, because you had added it to a previous section. When posting on someone's talk page, be sure to use the "new section" button and give a title to your comments to avoid that issue. Not sure if you've figured these parts out also, but you can link to articles by adding double square brackets around them, like so: <nowiki>[[Stormwatch: Team Achilles]]</nowiki> gives you [[Stormwatch: Team Achilles]]. If you want to do a link to a regular website, you only need single brackets, and you can add a another name for the link: <nowiki>[http://www.google.com Google]</nowiki> gives you [http://www.google.com Google]. I wasn't sure if you wanted me to review your edits or needed some other information, but feel free to contact me again either here or on my talk page. Cheers. —<B>[[User:Torchiest|Torchiest]]</B> [[User talk:Torchiest|talk]][[Special:Contributions/Torchiest|edits]] 12:49, 29 May 2013 (UTC) |

: Thanks. I am muddling through, learning more about how to communicate in Wikipedia every day. Taking Pete Forsyth's Writing Wikipedia Articles class through Wikipedia, Education Program:Peer to Peer University, to get up to speed on editing and creating in the Wiki environment because my job includes keeping our WikiEducator page updated. Love the copy editing guides; keep it/them open while doing work on the backlog. The class's final project is to bring a Stub to the Start class, or bring any article up one level per the guidelines. Hi Lorrie, |

Not sure I could get fired up about orchids although they look lovely and I think it is great to add to the body of knowledge about rare and remote specimens. |
|||
I was going to work on a page about a local author but now I might try to get something going around the idea of the social epistemology of Wikipedia. <small><span class="autosigned">— Preceding [[Wikipedia:Signatures|unsigned]] comment added by [[User:Gating|Gating]] ([[User talk:Gating|talk]] • [[Special:Contributions/Gating|contribs]]) 22:00, 31 May 2013 (UTC)</span></small><!-- Template:Unsigned --> <!--Autosigned by SineBot--> |

Lorrie, thank you for taking our class, and congratulations on a job well done! You may want to place the badge above on your user page. Also, as a badgeholder, you are now able to award the badge to others who earn it. A pie for you!
[edit]Hi GramaLorrie, congratulations on getting your account set up, and joining a team in our class! Here is a strawberry pie for you to share with your teammates :) Pete (talk) 17:46, 16 May 2013 (UTC) |
Hi Lorrie, you asked how I sent this. I used a feature called "WikiLove." It's easy to do: when you are looking at a user page or a user talk page (more on that in the next class, if it doesn't make sense to you) you will see a red valentine in the header bar at the top of the screen. If you click it, you will be able to build a banner like this one to leave on their talk page. Give it a try with your teammates! -Pete (talk) 21:19, 16 May 2013 (UTC)
