In 2006 the Green Party of Delaware ran Michael Berg a retired teacher and antiwar activist, for [[United States House of Representatives|Congress]] in the [[United States general elections, 2006|2006 midterm elections]]. He is most well-known as the father of [[Nick Berg]], one of the first American civilians to be abducted and executed by insurgents in [[Iraq]].
