I've started doing that. If you're talking about the Jimmy Eat World edits, then I announced on the band's topic page that they don't want to be labeled as emo (and cited a source for it), and out of respect for that we should exclude emo from all Jimmy Eat World pages.

See my response at Talk:Jimmy Eat World#Pop Rock/Emo Label. Whether a band likes or dislikes the genres they are associated with is irrelevant. What's relevant is that secondary sources (journalists, music critics, etc.) have associated them with that genre. If bands got to decide what genres they could & couldn't be called, they'd all just be "rock". --IllaZilla (talk) 06:49, 31 March 2011 (UTC)

Nintendo task force membership update

Hello,

It's that time again to update membership status with the Nintendo task force, which we try to do periodically to keep our membership up-to-date.

All participants have been placed on an "Inactive participants" list. To confirm that you're still a member of the Nintendo task force, simply go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Nintendo#Members and move your name from the "Inactive participants" list to the bottom of the "Active participants" list. If you are no longer an active member in the task force, you may simply remove your name altogether. After 1 month, on 1 August 2011, all entries under the "Inactive participants" list will be removed. Hopefully you can stay with us and continue to work on Nintendo-related articles. February 2012: Updates: A central location to list the shared resources of our project has been created. If you own any books that you use frequently in your editing and that you are willing to share please add them to the list. An article has been proposed for the Punk music collaboration of the month, as part of WikiWomen's history month. If you wish to, please express your opinion or propose an article at the collaboration page. Benzband (talk · contribs) has started to tackle the unassessed Punk music articles backlog. There is more information on the talk page if you want to get involved. Articles Work has been ongoing over the past few months to clean up both halves of the list of punk rock bands Features If you see a picture, article, list list that lives up to the corresponding featured criteria, please nominate it.

Collaboration of Punks

HEY HO, LET'S GO!!! Punk rockers—As you know, the Ramones are undeniably the first punk rock band, so it is vital to this genre that we collaborate to improve their scope! So far, I have worked on the band's first three albums, and it would be awesome if all the punks on Wiki would aid in expanding/cleaning the Ramones articles. You can see my progress here.
