Module:Location map/data/France Aquitaine is a location map definition used to overlay markers and labels on an equirectangular projection map of Aquitaine. The markers are placed by latitude and longitude coordinates on the default map or a similar map image.
Usage
These definitions are used by the following templates when invoked with parameter "France Aquitaine":
{{Location map|France Aquitaine |...}}
{{Location map many|France Aquitaine |...}}
{{Location map+|France Aquitaine |...}}
{{Location map~|France Aquitaine |...}}
Map definition
name = Aquitaine
- Name used in the default map caption
image = Aquitaine_region_locator.svg
- The default map image, without "Image:" or "File:"
image1 = 442x556-Carte-Région-Aquitaine-R.jpg
- An alternative map image, usually a relief map, which can be displayed via the relief or AlternativeMap parameters
top = 45.75
- Latitude at top edge of map, in decimal degrees
bottom = 42.75
- Latitude at bottom edge of map, in decimal degrees
left = -2
- Longitude at left edge of map, in decimal degrees
right = 1.5
- Longitude at right edge of map, in decimal degrees
Alternative map
The {{Location map}}, {{Location map many}}, and {{Location map+}} templates have parameters to specify an alternative map image. The map displayed as image1 can be used with the relief or AlternativeMap parameters. Examples may be found below or in the following:
- Template:Location map#Relief parameter
- Template:Location map+/relief
- Template:Location map#AlternativeMap parameter
- Template:Location map+/AlternativeMap
Precision
Longitude: from West to East this map definition covers 3.5 degrees.
- At an image width of 200 pixels, that is 0.0175 degrees per pixel.
- At an image width of 1000 pixels, that is 0.0035 degrees per pixel.
Latitude: from North to South this map definition covers 3 degrees.
- At an image height of 200 pixels, that is 0.015 degrees per pixel.
- At an image height of 1000 pixels, that is 0.003 degrees per pixel.
Examples using location map templates
Location map, using default map (image)
{{Location map | France Aquitaine | width = 250 | lat_deg = 44.839 | lon_deg = -0.578 | label = Bordeaux }}
Location map many, using relief map (image1)
{{Location map many | France Aquitaine | relief = yes | width = 250 | caption = Locations in the Aquitaine region | lat1_deg = 44.839 | lon1_deg = -0.578 | label1 = Bordeaux | lat2_deg = 43.708 | lon2_deg = -1.05 | label2 = Dax }}
Location map+, using AlternativeMap
{{Location map+ | France Aquitaine | AlternativeMap = 442x556-Carte-Région-Aquitaine-R.jpg | width = 250 | caption = Locations in the Aquitaine region | places = {{Location map~ | France Aquitaine | lat_deg = 44.839 | lon_deg = -0.578 | label = Bordeaux }} {{Location map~ | France Aquitaine | lat_deg = 43.708 | lon_deg = -1.05 | label = Dax }} }}
