Richard Couture started All Pro Sound as a commercial install company in 1980, in [[Pensacola, Florida|Pensacola]], [[Florida]] and gradually expanded into residential install and catalog sales.<ref name="All Pro Sound Story"/> In 2007, Richard sold the company to a group of private investors.

By 2010, All Pro Sound operated a 35,000 square foot warehouse, a 10,000 square foot showroom, annual sales had grown to $19 million and ''Systems Contractor News'' had ranked All Pro Sound #34 on its list of Top 50 Integrators.<ref name="APS Revenue"/>
