I'd recommend using the Wikipedia Adventure tutorial (link in the welcome message above). Just so you're aware, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia with neutrally-worded articles about notable topics, as evidenced by significant coverage in third-party sources that are considered reliable. Hi, Mama1Gal. The deletion nomination was for your userpage – an editor thought the page seemed unrelated to Wikipedia and its goals. Your account is still here, whether or not you have a userpage.
As for contributing to the encyclopedia itself, you should know that Wikipedia only reports what reliable sources have already written, and not the views of its editors. I recommend reading the reliable sources page, or at least its introduction; you will find helpful information there. You should also take a look at the Purpose page for an explanation of what Wikipedia is trying to do and how – including following the core content policies. Understanding those can help you contribute to the encyclopedia in a way constructive for everyone.

You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but that means the equivalent of coloring inside the lines. Adding personal observations such as "My Interests in Trousers will be used to edit this post because of my family history coming from a line of dressmakers and tailors..." will always be reverted.
