Akpawfu is made up of three main villages: Ajame-agu autonomous community, Isiagu autonomous community and Obodo Uvuru autonomous community.
It is made up of three autonomous communities: Obodo Uvuru, Isiagu and Ajame-agu.


The traditional ruler for Obodo-Uvuru autonomous community is Igwe Dume Nnamoko a.k.a. Uvuru one of Obodo Uvuru.
The traditional ruler of Obodo Uvuru is Igwe Dume Nnamoko (Uvuru 1 of Obodo Uvuru) while the traditional ruler of Ajame-agu is Igwe Christopher O. Nnamani (Amaeze 1 of Ajame-Amaeze).

Igwe Christopher Ogbonna Nnamani is the traditional ruler of Ajame-agu autonomous community,and Isiagu autonomous community is yet to get theirs.


It has two main streams: Iyaba and Etavu. Akpawfu is bordered by Amagunze, Akpugo and Oruku.

About 95% of the communities are Christians and the Rest practice traditional religion.

Akpawfu people are highly industrious and obtain their living basically through Agicultural activities.
The most are Farming,Hunting, Palm-Wine-Tapping, Grassing especially, Cow, Goat, Sheep, Chickens, Fishing etc


Akpawfu has [[Ovu lake]] which is perhaps the largest lake in Enugu state.
The best products in this area are Palm-Wine, Yam. cocoyam, Vegetables, Ogbono, green Beans, Oranges, Mangoes, Ukwa,
Other lakes in Akpawfu include: Offia lake, Ururo-naka lake and Ururo-ode lake.

Starting from Enugu the State-Capital City, any Private Driver or public Transport at Gariki Motorpack get first on Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway. Just after few Kilometers turn to Ozalla and drive through to Agbani.

To further explore the Town drive into Ndiuno arriving there at NKWO market.
Here is a central meeting point with internal road network, one road goes to Ajame Aju parts of Ajame called Ukpo-Ata, and Agu-Udenne reaching boundry with Oruku/Akpugo.
Another raod goes from here to Ajame-Uno, the other one goes to Ishi-Agu, to Ikoro daily market specially known for precious Palm-Wine. That same road goes through Ajame to a part of Ndiagu Akpugo.
