Welcome

[edit]
Hello AMY 81-412! Welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

This is NOT some automated message...it's from a real person. You can talk to me right now. I noticed you've just joined, and wanted to give you a few tips to get you started. If you have any questions, please talk to us. The tips below should help you to get started. Best of luck! — Mariah-Yulia • Talk to me! 17:15, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • You don't need to read anything - anybody can edit; just go to an article and edit it. Be Bold, but please don't put silly stuff in - it will be removed very quickly, and will annoy people.
  • Ask for help. Talk to us live, or edit this page, put {{helpme}} and describe what help you need. Someone will reply very quickly - usually within a few minutes.
  • Edit existing articles, before you make your own. Look at some subjects that you know about, and see if you can make them a bit better. For example, Wikipedia:Cleanup#2009.
  • When you're ready, read about Your first article. It should be about something well-known, and it will need references.

Good luck with editing; please drop me a line some time on my own talk page.

If you are interested in Ukraine-related themes, you may want to check out the Ukraine Portal , particularly the Portal:Ukraine/New article announcements and Portal:Ukraine/Ukraine-related Wikipedia notice board. The New article announcements board is probably the most important and the most attended one. Please don't forget to announce there the new articles you create. Adding both boards to your watchlist is probably a good idea. You can also join WikiProject Ukraine, a tool to help perfect the Ukrainian related articles on the English Wikipedia. We would be glad to have you as a member of WikiProject Ukraine! WikiProject Trains Might also be interesting for you.

Want to know more?

I think it could be handy for you to browse through some of the links below so as to become more familiar with how Wikipedia works. If you need any help you can ask me on my talk page, or place mono|{{helpme}} on your talk page and another Wikipedian will show up shortly. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or by typing four tildes "~~~~"; this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you're already loving Wikipedia and plan on becoming a Wikipedian you might consider being "adopted" by a more experienced editor, just paste {{Adoptme}} into your userpage and you will gladly be adopted! You might also consider joining a WikiProject so as to collaborate with others in creating and improving articles of your interest. Click here for a directory of all the WikiProjects. Finally, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field.
Happy editing and once again, welcome to the fantastic world of Wikipedia!

Hello AMY 81-412. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 10:36, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nikolai Bartossik, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:27, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Template was removed after the article was amended and corrected major probelemy for which you specify by setting the template page Nikolai Bartossik. Your return maintenance templates from pages is not constructive. With best regards. --AMY 81-412 (talk) 12:45, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Nikolai Bartossik, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. Best regards, Cindy(talk to me) 16:53, 16 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Hryhoriy Hrynko may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • Гринько, ''Hryn’ko''}}; {{lang-ru|Григорий Фёдорович Гринько, ''Grigoriy Fyodorovich Grinko''}}) was a [[Soviet Ukrainian]] statesman who held high office in the government of the [[Soviet Union]]

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 18:14, 8 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! I have a problem with editing a page Leonid Chernovetskyi. I add the text: "In 2003 he initiated a law on" The protection of public morality ". This law regulates a circulation of information products, which negatively affects public morality and bans turnover of items and products of pornographic nature". It remains on the page, but does not appear when you save it.
