The former Edinburgh's Telford College was named after [[Thomas Telford]], the great Scottish civil engineer, was established in 1968. On 15 September 2006, Telford College's new purposely built main campus was opened and to celebrate the launch of the newly profound institution. The first Minister of Scotland, the Rt. Hon.
