'''Amaozara''' village is located in Ozizza, [[Afikpo]] North in [[Ebonyi state]], [[Nigeria]]. It is made up of four compounds (Ezi Ukwu, Ezi Egwu, Ezi Okoro and Ezi Uhu). Amaozara is blessed a vast lands, and has the largest land mass in Afikpo. Most of the inhabitants are farmers, traders, civil servants and bricklayers. The village is richly blessed with good waters, it has spring waters (ughui,osugo) and stream water (Ogbuku), it also hase a river (Enyium) linking it to state like Cross river. Amaozara has numbers of site seeing places like hills, lakes, ponds, forest, river, that serve as tourist attractions. Most of the indigene are christians and few are still traditional worshippers. The village has a primary school where most of the children attend. The village hase its own traditional calendar and market days (Eke, Orie, Afor, Nkwo) like any other South East state in Nigeria. Eke market day is the major market day in Afikpo. The village has uptapped land that is enough for any industry to come and invest on. The headquarter of Afikpo NorthEast Development center is located in Amaozara village. the people still take part in traditional activities like traditional wrestles (NGBA), New yam festival (Ike JI) and the OKRCHI FESTIVAL. |
