Nipponisation

highly biased - neologism rarely used in french (¹internet search shows usage within french), should not be used for political reason. Akidd dublin•tl•ctr-l 09:03, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

It belongs to a dictionary of neologisms, and is not expandable above a list of usage of the word Nipponisation. It is possible to understand it on its own. *-ISATION words are not very much used in spoken language, neither in scientific language (except for scientific purpose: poly-mer-isation. this it where it comes from). I believe nowadays not much nipponization takes place, and it is not good way of using language. My POV. I also believe americanization shifts explanation to nationality, and should not be used. • Well, it appears to be a notable phenomenon, though I'm not sure if it's delving into the realms of original research, so Weak keep there. However, I fail to understand what its use in French has to do with it being encyclopedic, or what political reason would entail it being unused. • Keep but possibly Rename. The word might be a neologism (I sure haven't heard it), but the concept it describes is notable and article-worthy. What it needs is better-defined examples so it's easier to understand. Perhaps the recent Batman manga novels could be described as an example. Andrew Lenahan - Starblind 14:56, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
• Delete Unsourced neologism with very few Ghits - many of which are for different phenomena. One of the uses in French for example is the attempt to realise a cultural identity distinct from China. • Move to Japanization. It has more google hits. It's used a lot as a business term, especially as companies have adopted Toyota's methods of doing business. A more discriminating scholar.google.com gives about 1,220 hits for z and 500 for s. --Kunzite 22:55, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
