Ndege received her Ph.D. from [[Ghent University]] in [[Belgium]]. She is director of the [[Institute of Open, Distance and e-Learning]] of [[Kenyatta University]]. Prior to it, for seven years she was a director of both the [[African Virtual University Learning Centre]] and the [[e-Learning Coordinating Centre]]. Currently she is co-chair of the [[University Strategic Planning]] and is member of [[appraisal board]] of the University Promotions. She also serves on the advisory board of a University Website and planning committee at the [[National Open University of Kenya]]. Ndege received an honors bachelor's degree in education in 1984 and a master's degree in literature in 1990 from the University of Nairobi. She received a Ph.D. from Ghent University's Department of African Languages and Cultures in 2002. In 2007, Ndege received a master's degree in computer based information systems from the University of Sunderland.[1][2]
