== Reference on [[Tarmac]] ==

Hey Ethomsen!

Just a quick note to let you know I've re-added the reference you removed on [[Tarmac]], as it's still a useful reference. Now that the link is unfortunately dead, we can use the
|archive-url=
and
|archive-date=
parameters to pass in a link to an archival service such as [https://archive.org/ archive.org]. Most of the time, you can search it for a URL and find an old version of the page that still has the data, and just add the parameters to the citation template. If you look at the reference now as it exists on the page, you can see there's a link to both the archived version, and the original (now dead) link.

Cheers :D

Edit-a-thon

[edit]

Hi Ethomsen, looking forward to seeing you tomorrow for the Wikipedia intro and edit-a-thon tomorrow morning! Hope you can still make it. We'll have an intro for beginners at 10am; if you're a more experienced Wikipedian, join us at 11am.

Peabody Essex Museum Edit-a-thon on May 3

[edit]

Hi Elizabeth,

We're excited to see you at the Peabody Essex Museum on Saturday for our very-first Wikipedia edit-a-thon!

As one of the more experienced editors coming to the event, I was wondering if you could help us introduce new editors to all the how-to's of Wikipedia. It's looking like there will be a lot of first-time editors there (both PEM staff and outside editors). I'm sure that they will have lots of questions about how Wikipedia works, creating new articles, etc., and it would be great if you could help support them during the editing session in the afternoon and answer any questions they may have.

In the morning we'll be hosting a "Wiki 101" session to introduce new editors to Wikipedia. This will cover how Wikipedia works, the goals of Wikipedia, and some basics of getting set up with an account and creating/editing an article. Would you be willing to help us lead this session? If so let Ed Rodley or myself know. We'd really love to have your help!

Either way, I hope we can rely on you all to help out the new editors during the afternoon.

Looking forward to meeting you, Cathy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cathypem (talkcontribs) 23:16, 29 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Ralph Adams Cram may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.
