NCIS references

It's really rather pointless adding multiple references that are all to the same url, which is already used as a general reference for all episodes. All it does is clutter up the page. If you're going to add references for each episode, they should be unique urls for each episode to be of any benefit. --AussieLegend (talk) 17:08, 25 September 2009 (UTC)

Hi. I've noticed that you have added content to articles (Charlize Theron and Mark Wahlberg) that are to TV Guide. Those are fine, but I also noticed that in both cases, the source states that the information was from another source, Variety for Theron, People for Wahlberg. I have already corrected Amy Irving. I checked your recent edits to Gina Gershon, Laura Prepon and Rob Schneider‎ and I found the same error in all!. In fact, every one of your edits I checked had. or still has, the same error!

* I also notice that, acccording to your User page, you "work in Online Marketing for TV Guide." This is a conflict of interest(COI), as the references are all linking to "TV Guide", though the fact that you have declared this COI is certainly positive. I am not sure how this is handled 'officially' on Wikipedia. Please see wp:COI, and WP:PROMOTION for more information on what WP is not allowed to be used for. TV guide

Whatever happened to "I've carefully read all of Wikipedia's guidelines, and completely understand that any promotion or links back to TV Guide made by me, my staff or anyone at TV Guide for marketing purposes is in violation of those guidelines. In other words, if you find TV Guide links in the external link section of a TV article, we didn't put it there - and the same goes for any news references. We'll always go through discussion pages, to try to convince editors of the validity of our TV/Entertainment coverage, and leave the community to judge the content's value and worthiness to be placed on the page." Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Please stop spamming TVGuide everywhere, you say you know the guidelines on your userpage, so you are purposely and knowingly violation those rules.
