:PETE: It was Ohio State University. We paid them to build the wind tunnel model to the aerodynamic specs and wind tunnel tested up to Mach 1.120. 1.15 I believe. It was around 850 miles an hour that they wind tunnel tested it to and structurally it was built to hit a half-inch steep bump at 1000 miles an hour. There was nothing out on the Salt Flats that high, although there were deviations and dips which we thought maybe would be a problem, but as it turned out the 350 pounds of nitrogen pressure in the tires, the tire moved itself out of the way, it just made ruts.

Mr. Watson, I am sorry to bother you with this matter but you have had previous involvement with the editor Irongron and he seems to be at it again. He very strongly appears to be another new editor that is showing the same uncivil behavior and disrespect for other editors and and admins. His new sock has already been temporarily banned and threatened to be permanently banned for his behavior and disruptive editing. Here is the case I spent a couple of hours putting together:

::Hi Trek, I've done a bit of preliminary digging around for you regarding Nitrogen in race cars and indeed it is true they all use it, as well as manufacturers of expensive and luxury cars. I have a friend in IRC who works for Mercedes Benz and he indeed did say that they use it and the main reason in passenger cars would be that it eliminates moisture from the insides of the tyre as you need to make a vacuum in the tyre before you inflate it and it boils off the water as the pressure changes. In race cars it would also be for better thermal distribution too. Anyway, that means I should be able to find you some decent refs regarding this. [[User talk:Иронгрон]] is editing the same articles as Irongron and his documented socks, shows up right after other Irongron socks are discovered/blocked, claims to be from Australia as was Irongron but now living in the Ukraine. A Check User would determine if the IP being used is Ukranian and if the same or similar to the above. You recently undid an edit to the SR-71 and left a snarky comment. The use of that tone is unproductive and lower than wikipedias bar of discourse. However the statement remains confusing as the grammar is horrendous. It states "....in order to remain fluid while operating at temperatures less than {{convert|40|C|F|abbr=on}}. What does that mean? It is vague. At what temperature less than 40 C? Or should it simply state: and contained a diluent to remain fluid at 40C? You figure it out but improve the grammar to be more clear. This would not fly in any tech manual the way it is stated.


I can post this to others who have had crossings with above editor if your time does not permit you to consider this matter. Thank You for your consideration.

Obviously you have no military experience and are likely either very young or never matured past the teen years. Less than 40 C is non specific and is not how tech manuals are written. If you had real experience you would know that. Simply poorly copying data from the web without proper use of English is unproductive. Government specifications are well defined and are not ambiguous like less than 40C. I caught that glaring error and tried to improve the poorly copied data from another web site. It originally read below 40C. If you ask your English instructor they will clarify how to avoid ambiguous sentences for you. Any way try getting off the web a little and experience the world with real people so yo can gain some interpersonal skills.

Your tone indicates you attack those who edit an article you are working on. I have looked over your last 500 contributions and noticed you work on one article for an extended period. You have jumped on those who edit the article you are editting. That is going to happen and do not be offended by it or lash out against the editor. Some may never come back while others may end up reporting that behavior. I was annoyed by your snarky comments but understand there are many different personalities editing wiki.
