We have hundreds (thousands?) of articles on commercial establishments, from [[Avon]] to [[Zipcar]]. The only restrictions are that they be sufficiently notable, and that the article be npov and encyclopedic. And (as per [[WP:EL]]), articles may contain an external link to their official website(s). |

If the local group is doing something unique, then it might make sense. You could also add a ==See also== wikilink in articles on locales pointing to the article on the national org -- at least I'm not aware of any standards saying that's a no no. (I should have thought to suggest that before). |

Just keep in mind that what you're writing is an encyclopedia, not a community resource directory. I apologise for harping on this, but as Wikipedia's traffic ranking grows, more and more people are starting to look at us as a great way to gain traffic, and it's getting pretty intense-- I spend more and more of my time here trying to keep external links in check. |
