BLP written by SPA author who has not responded to a COI request. The coverage in independent sources is largely about her appointment as rector, therefore I think that WP:BIO1E applies. MrsSnoozyTurtle 23:28, 12 March 2023 (UTC)

• Keep. The nominator's attempts at WP:OUTING by demanding personal information of editors are both inappropriate and irrelevant. Aberdeen has an unusual governance structure, but it appears that their head academic officer is their pro-chancellor; the rector is an elected representative of the students. So this is not the kind of position that passes WP:PROF#C6, and aside from that Chukwuma-Ezike appears not to be an academic. To me this implies that the appropriate notability criterion is WP:GNG. We do have in-depth news coverage of her in her new position as rector [1] [2] [3] but we also have coverage of her asthma work [4] [5]. Although this additional non-rector coverage does not have as much depth about her, I think it's enough to save this from WP:BIO1E. —David Eppstein (talk) 23:53, 12 March 2023 (UTC)

• Keep There are more than enough sources shown to meet notability requirements and the author of the article has no relevance to this discussion. While there is a lot of coverage of her appointment and the importance and notability of that, there is also plenty of coverage about her actions as the head of the asthma group. Here's some additional sources beyond those presented above:

• Keep. I disagree that WP:BIO1E applies if coverage is largely about one thing, because that means coverage is also about something else. WP:NOTBLP1E deals with this well. Even further to that, it should be about one event, not one thing. Madonna is mostly notable for one thing (singing) she doesn't need to be notable for two things to be the focus of an article.

There is significant coverage in reliable sources (about her appointment, about a ceremony, about Asthma things). It seems like a clear WP:GNG pass to me. Here's some examples:

• Keep: the position of Rector at a Scottish university is held by a well-known person elected by the students: see University of Aberdeen#Lord Rector, where it shows that her prdedecessors in the role include Winston Churchill and Clarissa Dickson Wright, so indicates her notability. As for the creatiing editor being {tq|"SPA author who has not responded to a COI request"}} : it is clear from their talk page that they took part in a "training session and mini-editatathon" led by WikiMedia trainer Watty62 on 25th January and, apart from signing up to WiR on 27th, they have not edited since. Unless they signed up for email alerts for talk page posts, they will probably be unaware of the COI challenge to which they have not replied. I think it is generally accepted that being a student at an institution does not debar an editor from editing about all members of staff or other people associated with that university. She was apparently at Buckingham Palace last week as one of the representatives of the University of Aberdeen, which is one of the "Privileged Bodies" which offered loyal greetings to the king - this was the event but I can only see her presence mentioned in her own LinkedIn as yet, rather than a WP:RS suitable for adding to the article, but it's unlikely to be a fabrication. Will presumably appear in Aberdeen city or uni sources in time. PamD 09:02, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

• Keep: Declaration of Interest - I am a Wikimedia UK trainer who ran the training session at which this article was first drafted. The attendees at that training session are all committed to working on the WiR project. The subject of this deletion request holds a prestigious position while in office (ie not a single event). All previous holders of the position of Rector of the University of Aberdeen since 1809 with only 5 exceptions (each of which ought to be addressed) are the subject of WP articles. Further, the current holder is only the third woman, and first person of colour I believe, to have held that role. Additionally, others have mentioned her notable work at the Asthma charity which she leads which ought to be fleshed out once the possibility of deletion of this article has passed.
