Comments first from April 2004
I think there a quite a few issues that have come up when I've tried to write about buildings:

Benjamin Mountfort FAR
*Photographs - is it appropriate to use photographs of features of a building? The photographs you use to show shapes (for example with a brutalist building) are different from those you take to illustrate a touristy builidng for example. I used grey scale photos to illustrate Brunswick Centre as I felt that it brought out the shape better and was accused of violating NPOV!

Benjamin Mountfort has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are {}|Benjamin Mountfort}}|here.
*We have a lot of articles on skyscrapers - at the moment they tend to consist of X is so high and has so many floors. We need more than this obviously.

Palazzo Pitti
*Should we make a box with name of building, date of completion, architect etc?

Palazzo Pitti has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. We can't write about every listed building, do we want to concentrate on ones that are particularly notable in terms of style, famous architects etc?

Palace Hotel, Perth GA Review: on hold
Apologies for the random jottings. Secretlondon 09:27, 15 Apr 2004 (UTC)

I have reviewed the GAN of Palace Hotel, Perth, and have placed the article on hold. I did the review prior to seeing that the nominating editor had retired, and I figured I'd leave a message here in case editors wanted to assist in fixing the minor issues to help the article reach GA. I will also leave a message on another related WikiProject talk page to get more editors to possibly assist in the workload. The majority of the changes should be easy to fix and shouldn't take too long. If you have any questions let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk)
Heck, don't apologize for random jotting. What else is a WikiProject talk page going to be used for? Anyway here are my thoughts on the above:
*Picture are obviously important. Perhaps a mix of greyscale and color photographs? Alternatively, you could put the color photographs in and link to the grayscale, or vice versa. Color is prettier but greyscale shows buildings better.
*It would make sense to me to have an architecture infobox. Standard stuff would obviously include completion date, architect, and name. Other info that could possibly be put in a standard box: start date of construction, developer, maybe the construction firm, interior designer (if it's someone other than the architect), and building type (see list of building types.) I'm sure there are more things we could include, too.
*In terms of which buildings to write on, I don't have any particular goals in mind. If you want to prioritize, I'd say major works of big-name architects come first. Next are major landmarks (including buildings in major cities that anyone living in the area could identify.) Then we have other buildings by any architect we have an article on. Any other notable buildings can follow as people choose to write on them.

I'm not sure if the US has an equivalent to the UK's "listed building" status. We have something called the "National Register of Historic Places" it's not quite the same. Isomorphic 17:06, 15 Apr 2004 (UTC)

This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.
----
I agree there are too many listed buildings to describe them all, but we could at least have a list of Grade I listed buildings.

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the <code>display=none</code> parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.<!--Addbot-WP-Message-Article-alerts-01-->

Looks good. Only one concern - the commissioning/competition date would be nice information, but might be hard to find and end up blank on most buildings. Also, could you clarify what "General view of the building" means? Isomorphic 20:18, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)

: Greatbuildings.com may be a good source of inspiration (and information) for this. I think it's very good to distinguish between dates of commission/begin/completion, since these are often mixed up (i.e. in different pieces of literature you often find several dates for a building), a confusion that can be clarified by Wikipedia. I don't know about "engineer" though -- on the other hand, it might be useful to include information on "client". Will check if I find more information elsewhere on "building metadata standards". There's a request for copies of articles from 3 architecture journals at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Resource_Exchange/Resource_Request#Architecture_journals; if any member of the project has access to "RIBA Journal" (2002), "Architects' Journal" (1971) or "Building" (1979), please reply there. == Fascist architecture ==
I only came across this Project not long ago, but I've had in mind for a while now to create articles for the skyscrapers in Melbourne, Australia. That said, I created my own infobox a while ago, you can see it at Rialto Towers and Eureka Tower. Thing is, it's rather large and might do with some reformatting/pruning. If anyone likes it, feel free to use whatever from it, or suggest how it could be made better. Other than that, there is (at the Rialto page) a navbox which leads to the next shortest/next tallest buildings in the city. Since making that, I've seen a few problems with it, like the fact that it will need reworking whenever a new building is completed, as well as being affected by the whole controvesy over including/excluding spires and antennas from heights, etc. TPK 03:19, 8 Jul 2004 (UTC)

There are three categories for fascist architecture, Germany Portugal, and Italy. Franco's tomb would certainly qualify. But,,, theses are really just Art Deco buildings. The Art Deco buildings the Italians built in Italy are not different stylistically than the ones they built in Eritrea. I think these categories should be moved from facsist to Art Deco.Historicist (talk) 22:20, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
Standardized entries
Hi!
This idea of standardising entries on the same topic (e.g. Architecture) is a good one. I'd like to suggest three sources of information and inspiration that might help in the development of this WikiProject.

Mark Twain House GA Sweeps: On Hold
CCA documentation
For 15 years or more the Canadian Centre for Architecture has been creating documentation (or "articles", if you like) of architects and architecture as represented in photographs, prints, drawings, archives, etc. Their online catalogue (http://www.cca.qc.ca/pages/Niveau3.asp?page=catalogue_collection&lang=eng) includes all of this documentation. The idea behind this documentation is to approach each subject in as much the same way as possible.

I have reviewed Mark Twain House for GA Sweeps to determine if it still qualifies as a Good Article. In reviewing the article I have found several issues, which I have detailed here. Since the article falls under the scope of this project, I figured you would be interested in contributing to further improve the article. Please comment there to help the article maintain its GA status. If you have any questions, let me know on my talk page and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talk • contrib) 07:35, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
For example, titles of records usually follow the same form: "View of the White Plains Mall showing the entrance to the Scotch 'n Sirloin restaurant, White Plains, New York, United States" [photograph PH2000:0757, by Molitor, Joseph W.]; i.e. first a description of what is shown in the photograph using the subject's name (supported, if possible, by an authority), then the city-level location, then the regional (state/provincial) location, then the national location.

GA reassessment of David Heymann
===The Art & Architecture Thesaurus=== (http://www.getty.edu/research/conducting_research/vocabularies/aat/) is a source of controlled vocabulary (used in CCA documentation) for art and architectural terms. Besides defining useful terms, a controlled vocabulary removes ambiguities that arise when describing different structures. For example, one could use any of a number of terms to describe "establishments that primarily sell gasoline, lubricating oils, and other merchandise, such as tires and batteries, for motor vehicles and that often also perform minor repair work": gas station, service station, filling station, gas bar... The AAT provides a researched and source-supported standard term (in this case, "service station").

I have reassessed the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. There are some concerns which you can see at Talk:David Heymann/GA1. If these are not addressed, the article will be de-listed. Jezhotwells (talk) 19:04, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
The Library of Congress
The Library of Congress Authorities (http://authorities.loc.gov/) for source-supported names of people, places, and subjects. The "Authorized Heading" is the established form of the name in question, e.g. "100 1_ |a Mies van der Rohe, Ludwig, |d 1886-1969" i.e. Mies van der Rohe, Ludwig.

Chicago Spire GA Sweeps: On Hold
I've gone into way too much detail, but I thought it might be helpful to give supply some useful links and some possible parameters...

I have reviewed Chicago Spire for GA Sweeps to determine if it still qualifies as a Good Article. Nehrams2020 (talk • contrib) 01:16, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
As for the question: "Photographs - is it appropriate to use photographs of features of a building?" I think any image is helpful, regardless of the type. It's not only architects and engineers who consult these articles and there's no telling how the information might be used - so there's no definitive method of representation. The CCA has over 60,000 photographs of architecture (and other subjects) in all kinds of formats: from daguerreotype (AAT term: http://www.getty.edu/vow/AATFullDisplay?find=daguerreotype&logic=AND&note=&page=1&subjectid=300127181) to digital prints. That NPOV accusation was ludicrous.

City of Manchester Stadium FAR
:Thanks for that useful information. We seem to have consensus on use of photographs of details of buildings. How do you suggest we use their standard designations? The controlled vocabulary could be very useful; I'm keen to see how U.S.-specific the terms are, but it's not necessary for us to standardise vocabulary except where one term has multiple meanings, as we can easily create redirects. As you may have noticed, this project has become rather inactive, so all ideas to reinvigorate it are very welcome! Warofdreams 09:41, 2 August 2005 (UTC)

Please join the discussion on whether this article meets featured article criteria. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. ::The AAT provides US and British terms in most cases (e.g. "porches" = "verandas"), but the subjects covered are truly worldwide (including terms for styles of Nigerian sculpture, for example). I'd say that when a specific feature is notable in a structure that one is writing about it would be worth checking the AAT to find and use the controlled term. This becomes more significant when writing about a structure that isn't accompanied by an image - or when writing about a structure from a different architectural tradition (say, a Shinto shrine or a Medicine wheel). The AAT also provides definitions for terms like "general view", which might help answer Isomorphic's question.
Anyone home? fancy painting the front door?
I wonder if I might trouble you to read this little section on Giano's page about improving the architecture article? I think really what's needed is some input to get a good heading structure, after which I'm fairly confident the article will pretty much write itself - any views or opinions? --Joopercoopers (talk) 20:59, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
::Another way to use standardisation is in how structures and locations are named. Somewhere on a related page (that I now can't find) someone pointed out the conundrum of deciding what style to use in naming a building. The possibilities given were: "the XXX Building, Chicago" or the XXX Building (Chicago)", etc. I too prefer the former style (comma instead of parentheses) because it reads better. As for finding and using the definitive name of a building... that's where the Library of Congress Names Authorities come in. You can search for, say, "Guggenheim Museum" - select "Name Authority Headings" and click. You will then find "Guggenheim Museum" with a button marked "References" to the left - this means that "Guggenheim Museum" is not the Authorised name - so click on "References" and you will find "Authority Record" and "See Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum". Clicking on either will take you to the Authority record where the authorised name is listed on the line beginning "110" (or any number in the 100s, thereby indicating the authorised name). Names listed on lines marked in the 400s are unauthorised variations. You can do the same search for names of people or places or even subject matter.

Doncaster Hill strategy
::Reading the AAT:
::Just to give a quick note on how to read the AAT entries. The term searched for (and found) is in bold. The definition follows (after "Note"). The the synonyms or other forms of the term follw (under "Terms"). Click on the one- or two-letter codes for how to use or not use the accompanying term. Any terms/variations accompanied by "UF" are not to be used. So for the example below, US writers use "porches" and "porch", British writers use "verandas" and "veranda" (being in Canada, we use both US and British terms at the CCA). The other terms, "piazzas" and "verandahs" are not to be used. Play around for a while with the thesaurus and you will dicover its other interesting and useful features (e.g. the hierarchical displays, related terms, etc.).

The Doncaster Hill Strategy is not supported by the Doncaster community. Is there another Municipal council that is trying to reduce householders value of property for the benefit of developers such as Westfield and Pokie King Bruce Mathieson.
::porches (<exterior covered spaces>, <rooms and spaces by location or context>, ... Components)

Architecture Database (geographicaly taged)
::I hope this all makes sense - and is of some use! Pinkville 16:05, 2 August 2005 (UTC)
:::Very useful and complete information. The controlled vocabulary (copyright?) can be used for naming many articles, for example: List_of_basic_architectural_topics There's also 16 standard "Divisions" in the CSI Master Format to categorize building materials that can be used for :Category:Architectural elements. A (new) List of official names of buildings" from the Library of Congress source can reveal articles with the wrong name and links to redirect pages. Another list or table can show different words for the same thing (porch vs. veranda), or architect / "signature building", or derivation of words (Bungalow from Indian roots ...), etc. --Dogears 09:58, 29 January 2006 (UTC)

What if we could have access to all the buildings that are allready in Wikipedia like in an Architecture Database? I mean, imagine we would like to know all the buildings that exist in a specific city. That happens a lot, when we want to travel. We could use all the information we allready have in a more operative way, organizing it and having access to it geographicaly. Do you think this could be mande inside Wikipedia? Combining this with specific adress or even the coordinates, it could be a real help to all the people here, who for sure like architecture and travelling to see it. We could also have it listed by architect ore by time. Even buildings without article could be there, just with a small reference so you could know it exists and maybe search information about it elsewhere ore later creating an article for it.

Grutness...<font color=green><small>wha?</small></font> 08:26, 30 August 2005 (UTC)

I found a short messy article called "interstitial spaces" (plural), and it surprised me by dealing with architecture rather than with what I thought of as any of the usual meanings of that term. Obviously it was incorrect to use the plural, so I tried to move it to "interstitial space" (singular), but there was already a far more substantial article there, also on architecture. So first I redirected the plural to the singular, wiping out the plural article.
Architecture stubs
:
architecture-stub
Then some further searching yielded the interstitial disambiguation page, which treated biology and physical and mathematical sciences (i.e.&nbsp;what I think of as the usual meanings of the term "interstitial space", as opposed to the architectural meaning), and did not link to the architecture article.
<div class="boilerplate metadata" id="stub"><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" style="background-color: transparent;"><tr ><td ></td ><td >&nbsp;This article relating to an architectural term, building feature or building / structure type is a stub. :
<noinclude>
Then I

* redirected the plural "interstitial spaces" to that disambiguation page,
</noinclude>
* moved the architecture article to interstitial space (architecture),
* added the architecture article to the disambiguation page.
:
The disambiguation page is still in a distinctly suboptimal state.
:
And interstitial space (architecture) is an orphaned article: nothing links there except the disambiguation page.
:
If there are topics lists and other articles that should link to it, then get busy.
:
I originally found the plurally-title "interstitial spaces" article by following a link that made me expect biology, not architecture. So these articles have been neglected. Michael Hardy (talk) 18:54, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

More photographs are needed for articles in :Category:Buildings and structures with photos from people in the towns with great architecture. The proposal to create a file naming convention is important. Image file names are displayed on a Category page (under the thumbnail), when the image is manually added to a category.
Residential architecture projects are often referred to by the clients last name (eg.: Robie_House) and the city name. Other buildings take the name of the largest (current) tenant or sponsor and memorial names.
Proposal for a standard file name for photos:

The info boxes from TPK look good with multiple columns of information. The “smaller <=> larger building” link box is very useful too. Manually changing a few links in articles should be no problem when a new building is built to greater heights. There's another, very flexible info box in the article for Yankee stadium - (modified, pictured at right) as a sample. What is the best information for the entries in the info box? (see the suggestions in Standardized entries above); Is there someone interested in creating the infobox? See also: Templates below.

"... a lot of articles on skyscrapers ..."

Hi all. A query has come up regarding this article which I think you may be able to help with. This building initially received a fair bit of media attention as it would've been the tallest building in Wales, but the project was subsequently cancelled. The subject passes WP:GNG in my view, but is there any precedent for keeping or deleting articles on cancelled building projects? <span style="font-family: Neuropol, Tahoma, sans-serif;text-shadow:silver 0.5em 0.5em 0.1em">Bettia&nbsp;(talk)</span> 10:02, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
There are many different articles with information about skyscrapers (sometimes conflicting?). The proposal for a standard format for articles, and info boxes, can make these disparate pages into a cohesive group of articles, Using infoboxes, with links to "random building" or "smaller <> larger building" for a consistent page design.
: Don't know of wiki precedents. The fact that a building proposal is not built only means that is not notable as a building, however the architectural design could be. There are numerous examples of unbuilt projects which entered architecture history (Tatlin's Tower, Welthauptstadt Germania, etc.). That being said, the project presented at Bay Pointe doesn't appear to be notable in architectural design terms - there is no reference in this regard. Therefore I suggest removing it from Wiki Project Architecture. The article could be however notable as a structure (i.e. civil engeneering) or in urban planning (bold proposal to change the city's skyline). Or, in case the peninsula is called Bay Pointe, not only the project, it could be that the place is notable. Elekhh (talk) 10:52, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

I removed the Forums section altogether. The four forums are hardly used (one is completely empty) and it's probably better to have a lively talk page in one place. Views on this are requested, to confirm the change.

I'm not sure what to do about the content. The only more or less current issue on all 4 forums was about Drywall and I've put a link to the forum at Talk:Drywall. But maybe they need archiving / redirecting / a notice saying use the talk page instead - expert help needed here. ProfDEH (talk) 08:26, 2 December 2009 (UTC)

Firms versus architects
Cannot sign up!
I am not sure how to organise articles withing architecture firms versus individual arhitects. It doesnt help that I dont have many good sources for purely biographical data anyway. Currently for example Tecton redirects to Berthold Lubetkin. The article is pretty stubby anyway but if I took out the Tecton stuff it would just make two stubs (though this one I have some sources on). Lubetkin however worked in lots of different groupings. Another example is Hidalgo Moya and Philip Powell who only worked together as Powell and Moya so there is a lot of repetition in the articles about what they built. Any thoughts? Justinc 10:28, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
*I don't think that there can be a general rule on this. I would say that the Tecton and Lubetkin articles should be split; as you say, neither one is a subset of the other. Powell and Moya could easily be merged; while there could be things to say about one which do not apply to the other, in this case where all the notable points about them are identical, it seems preferable to have one decent article rather than two essentially duplicated. :The Architecture article itself is neither excellent nor terrible. Overall coverage of architecture is patchy, with some FAs and large numbers of stubs. Palace Hotel, Perth GA Review: on hold

If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

Message sent by User:Addbot to all active wiki projects per request, Comments on the message and bot are welcome here.

There are three categories for fascist architecture, Germany Portugal, and Italy. Franco's tomb would certainly qualify. But,,, theses are really just Art Deco buildings. The Art Deco buildings the Italians built in Italy are not different stylistically than the ones they built in Eritrea. Architecture Database (geographicaly taged)

--Vasco.cortez (talk) 16:34, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

"Interstitial space": a mess

I found a short messy article called "interstitial spaces" (plural), and it surprised me by dealing with architecture rather than with what I thought of as any of the usual meanings of that term. Obviously it was incorrect to use the plural, so I tried to move it to "interstitial space" (singular), but there was already a far more substantial article there, also on architecture. So first I redirected the plural to the singular, wiping out the plural article.

Then some further searching yielded the interstitial disambiguation page, which treated biology and physical and mathematical sciences (i.e. what I think of as the usual meanings of the term "interstitial space", as opposed to the architectural meaning), and did not link to the architecture article.

Then I

 • redirected the plural "interstitial spaces" to that disambiguation page,
 • moved the architecture article to interstitial space (architecture),
 • added the architecture article to the disambiguation page.

The disambiguation page is still in a distinctly suboptimal state.

And interstitial space (architecture) is an orphaned article: nothing links there except the disambiguation page.

If there are topics lists and other articles that should link to it, then get busy.

I originally found the plurally-title "interstitial spaces" article by following a link that made me expect biology, not architecture. So these articles have been neglected. Michael Hardy (talk) 18:54, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Interstitial spaces is, I discovered, a valid topic which could be linked to Building services engineering - except that article is so general, it has no comparable links that might make this appropriate. Not very helpful I know. ProfDEH (talk) 08:17, 25 October 2009 (UTC)

Raised on columns

The first of five principles of Le Corbusier (from Villa_Savoye):

 1. The pilotis, or ground-level supporting columns, elevate the building from the damp earth allowing the garden to flow beneath ...

Question: is there a generally accepted short English term for it (one, two, at most three words) (only considering modernist buildings) ?

The term 'piloti' (I assume you mean) is rarely used except to refer to Corbusier's buildings. Normally they are simply columns. ProfDEH (talk) 18:26, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Bettia (talk) 10:02, 26 October 2009 (UTC)

Don't know of wiki precedents.

Lambrequin

As far as I can see offhand, en-wiki has no equivalent article to fr:Lambrequin; Lambrequin is a redirect to Mantling, which is about heraldry. Is there an article elsewhere that should be interwiki'd to fr:Lambrequin? And should we perhaps turn Lambrequin into a disambiguation rather than a redirect?

Commons:Category:Lambrequins seems to indicate that the English word would be pelmet, but our article Pelmet seems to be about a different (albeit related) architectural element. - Jmabel | Talk 03:18, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Lambrequin is the french word for pelmet. Both the English and French articles are a bit vague about the definition: the French one includes fretwork ornament which is certainly outside the definition of 'pelmet' in English, maybe not in French though. I'll add a bit to Pelmet. In English 'lambrequin' is only used in heraldry. ProfDEH (talk) 12:14, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
So is there an English-language term specific to decorative fretwork at the top of a window, as in the examples below? - Jmabel | Talk 18:18, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
I have heard scrollwork a few times but mostly "gingerbread" or "gingerbread trim". Binksternet (talk) 18:41, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Fretwork or gingerbread are applicable. See third image illustrating the difference - a pelmet has a function and can be completely plain. ProfDEH (talk) 10:36, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Churches - notability and Manual of style

Hi - I have ventured here as I am currently creating articles about churches in Southampton, starting with St. Mary's. Before I get too stuck in, can I ask a few questions:

 1. Is there a Manual of Style for churches?
 2. Is there a defined Notability threshold for churches? Those I have done so far are all listed buildings so pass on those grounds, but is there any bar on creating an article on a small 20th-century church with no architectural merit?
 3. Should the name of a church begin "St." or "St" (without the stop)?
 4. I see some articles refer to, say, Shirley Parish Church rather than St James' Church, Southampton. Which is correct? Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 20:13, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Naming conventions (architecture)

I am creating comprehensive naming convention about architecture.

And i am asking all of you to join, edit, talk about it here, and make some new good guide for the architecture articles. Wiki must have one! Tadija (talk) 13:33, 24 November 2009 (UTC)

Queen Anne Style architecture

It is proposed to split Queen Anne Style architecture into sections: Queen Anne in England (possibly UK), Queen Anne in the US, Stick style including Eastlake Style, and Shingle style. Please comment at the talk page if you can.

PS doesn't anyone know how to archive old stuff on this page? ProfDEH (talk) 08:52, 14 December 2009 (UTC)

Cannot sign up!

I have written quite a number of articles on architecture and have attempted to sign up. But I can't find the template you mention. Can you sign me in. Thanks. Ipigott (talk) 16:34, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

You're in! I put the project's userbox on your userpage in case you wish it. You can easily remove it if not. Welcome! Binksternet (talk) 17:07, 16 December 2009 (UTC)

Tudor period DYK opportunity

There's a planned press release from at least two Wikimedia chapters (UK and Sweden) for an upcoming image donation from the Mary Rose Trust scheduled for January 3. It's going to be accompanied by a major update of the article on the Mary Rose and the Anthony Roll which are going to be nominated as DYK for the day of the press release. If anyone here is interested in joining in to make that day into a naval/Tudor period theme day for DYK, check out Wikipedia talk:Did you know#Scheduling a DYK date.

Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Trump International Hotel and Tower (Chicago)/archive3

The current FAC at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Trump International Hotel and Tower (Chicago)/archive3 is getting fairly mature. We just finally overcame an oppose from one of the toughest reviewers on WP, but need some supports to get the article approved.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 14:55, 27 December 2009 (UTC)
