Manakambahiny Ouest or Manakambahiny Andrefana is a rural municipality in Madagascar. It belongs to the district of Ambatondrazaka, which is a part of Alaotra-Mangoro Region. The population of the commune was estimated to be approximately 22,000 in 2001 commune census.[2]

Primary and junior level secondary education are available in town. Als the state university of Aloatra-Mangoro, the Université de Manakambahiny[3] is situated in this town. The majority 90% of the population of the commune are farmers, while an additional 7% receives their livelihood from raising livestock.
