Barton joined Spurs as a junior in October 1956 and made his first class debut in 1960. Barton ended his career at [[Dunstable Town F.C.]] During his time in Chester, Ken helped establish a local side near to his home in Chester. The Westminster Park Youth side of 1971-74 (formed and managed by Ken 'chief' Young of BICCC Uk) evolved into a Chester and District league side. Ken Barton along with Eric Hamer, Bobby Roberts,Tony Feilding and Reg Coldrick, played alongside a group of 17/18 year olds who had won all 3 trophies in their last season in the Chester under 18 youth league. In the first season, featuring Ken Barton as centre back, the team acheived promotion from the 4th division of the league structure in season 1975-76. In the following seasons Ken played less and became president of the club as it rose to the section A or 1st division of the league in successive seasons and also developed a reserve side, a rarity in local sunday football. The club known as Westminster Park FC carried the arms of the Duke of Westminster on their shirts and won the local district FA cup beating the Piper fc 1-0 at Sealand Road in 1983,in one of the last ever games played on the sealand road pitch.

Kenneth Rees Barton (20 September 1937 – 6 September 1982) was a Welsh professional footballer who played for Tottenham Hotspur, Millwall, Luton Town and Wales Schools in the position of full back.[2] He was born in Caernarfon.

Football career

Barton joined Spurs as a junior in October 1956 and made his first class debut in 1960. Playing a total of four times, he was one of seventeen players used in their Double winning season of 1960–61.[3] Leaving the club in a transfer deal in September 1964 to join Millwall. He transferred to Luton Town where he made 11 appearances in 1964. Barton ended his career at Dunstable Town F.C.
